I USED to be a 360 fanboy

I wasn't one of those people who bashed the playstation 3 but i didn't like the playstation 3, but after going through my 3rd 360 i said enough is enough, i sold my 4th xbox 360 without starting it up when i got it back from microsoft on ebay, a month later he emailed me and said that the console took a crap and that he needed my information. A few months later without anything to play i Bought a playstation 3 so i could have something to play. Well.....Im LOVING it. I mean it doesn't have great online functionality like the xbox 360 does but if it has multiplayer abilityand a playstation store im good, this thing is awesome! i just got done installing linux and it runs as smooth as butter, the fact that it can run an OS is just so COOL! I always thought that blu ray was a useless feature.. Man was i wrong, the blu ray quality is awesome! and now i see how blu ray is a useless feature! Itextends possibilities with all that disc space unlike the dvd format the 360 is still using..and i didnt even know it had wifi! The 360 doesnt have that. And im loving the lineup for this fall! Its gonna be huge! I like how it can stay on for so long and not break and doesn't overheat!

The number 1 thing i like about the playstation 3, the community, it seems like r6v and resistance (by the way resistance is awesome!) and all other multiplayer games has less annoying people and that all the screaming little kids and the annoying people that talk crap are all on the 360 and not on the ps3, its actually made up of better maturer people who just play the game straight up. But there are some of those people but not as bad as the 360. I was a huge halo fan but well, screw microsoft and their crappy console, whats the use if i cant play the games if the console keeps breaking on me, i tried everything to make it not overheat i bought a small fan to blow over it so it can blow the heat away, tried to put more space around it, and i only played an hour and then give it a 30 minute break and play again that didnt work... But the ps3 is just awesome, you can consider me a sony fanboy now, if microsoft can fix the consoles defective problems then i might consider it for halo 3. But now ill stick with the playstation. Im excited about home as well! I thought i would share this and i wanted to see if anyone else has converted to the ps3 as well, im sure there are some of you out there that have done that as well!

i agree, both systems have both great games comming out and planned for them. we all know most of ps3's but some of the 360 ones you didnt mention are banjo three, the precursors, huxley. blue dragon, lost oddyssy, eternal sonata. those all should rock and halo wars

both systems rule i have to say that.both have so many capabilities.i have to say for raw horsepower ps3 but man for some really good hardware the 360 has it.It has the potential to be awesome.Both are marvels of technology.This generation will show if blue ray is necessary.Which i dont think it is "RIGHT NOW" maybe in another year.But than again MS has tons of money so who knows what their answer will be to that.They are software giants so anything could happen.Right now they are making a new way to compress files so that could potentially be awesome who knows.My 360 broke and im buying another one.Hey its all good i got 3 years thanks to MS i dont care how many times they break its free man! and plus if i cycle it enough i ll ge tthe good hardware and it will be done with.heheheh thanks PETER!!!!!!!!!bboycookie2

Xbox has a stellar assortment of games but the console is made by a compan notorious for making crap first generation products.

Don't throw names around plz unless you know what you are talking about....or you could just look up the 1.05 billion it cost MS to extend the warranty for the massive hardware failures they have been having.

it is true that the 360 is no where near as durable as the ps3 and wii... but MS is fixing that with the elites and falcons and the 3 year extended warranty.

Actually MS isn't making any money on software either for the 360, they arn't making any money at all, which makes sense when you consider how much money they pay just for exclusive downloads for gta4. But considering they never made any money on the first xbox either I don't think a little thing like annually negative returns will stop them.

Personally Im thinking of getting an elite just for GeOW and Mass Affect, but I I'll prolly be pretty busy with my PS3 by the time those come out, because likewise, I am more impressed with the PS3 than I have ever been with a system.

I don't think GeOW will be as good on PC, I play it on my friends 360 and the controls are perfect, I'd prefer the more traditional FPS like BioShock on my PC but I don't think GeOW wis gonna be the same. But I can prolly go without owning it, I;ve played it, but I just pray that Mass Effect comes to PC like KOTOR did because it looks so goo, I also hope that it is as good as it looks. But I can wait because their are some PS3 titles that I am equally psyced for coming out same time or sooner, soonest being LAIR and Heavenly Sword, but oh man fall is gonna be INTENSE! their are so many titles dropping.

yeah im glad you like the ps3 man, it is definetly worth the money. and at least its a reliable product. but now all you need to do is get a hdtv, and then you'll realize how much better a ps3 is : D

wow im surprised at the maturity of this thread its really great we can just talk about games and not care who prefers what i personally think ms should be a 3rd party dev they make good games but i wont buy their consolefraros

They have the money to put out soe really good games and fund some too...so maybe have about four or five inhouse studioes could work for them and they could churn out some serious hit titles.

When you said that Xbox Live is better than Playstation Network what did you mean?? What exactly is better in Live that PSN can't do?

I own both and love both my PS3 and Elite 360. Haven't really had problems with either of the ones I have now. I had my first PS3 crap out and my first 360 crap out - but the ones I have now have been running great.

That being said...

I must agree with you about the community. The average PS3 user seems to me to be more mature and tech saavy. That doesn't mean there aren't 360 users in the same boat - but the 360 community as whole has allot more kids and "punks" than the PS3 community seems to have.

Anyway - welcome and glad you like the PS3 - yes this fall and winter through Q1 of 2008 are going to be HUGE for the PS3.
