i have a few questions

1. Can the game change everything into english. From a name of a sword to voice acting

2. Whats the rating. I cant play M games im only 13 could i still play this

3. Is the cheapest place i can get it PLay -Asia

4. Is there a demo. On the chinese/japansese playstation store.

5. Even if i am old enugh to play and i can change everything to english, is it fun enough to have to get it right now or can i wait.

6. Anyone who has played it: How are the Controls. How long is it.

Thank you

Havn't been able to order it yet but I know the asian is in english (voice and text) and the Japan version is not. I'm assuming it's rated M but seeing how I don't know how the rating system works in asia or japan it may be possible you could still play it but I honestly have no clue about that.

chances are that if you wait a bit there will be a english version of it out soon. if it becomes popular enough they will distribute it worldwide and make more money. If they havent done so already.

otherwise its time to learn japanese.

The asia version has english voice-acing and english menu as well as trophies. Have not seen a sign of "rating" regarding the Japanese and Asia releases but is believed to be PG-13 if to be released in Western society as their is no sign of blood or violence besides 'mystical hacknslash'. That or try Ebay for your luck. Presumably not. May vary though the most common pattern is, do you like RPGs? If so, this may perhaps be a type of game many have suggested to try. Through various reports and speculation, it is presumed to be medium-long, basically not short; "man this game is short" is practically rare to hear". The controls are fine.

There is an Asian version of the game that already has English voices and English text set as the default. The cheapest place you're probably going to find it is indeed Play-Asia. The game is reaally fun, but very difficult so you have to have patience with it in the beginning. The controls are a little weird at first, but you'll get us to them eventually. It seems like a fairly long game, but I honestly have no idea exactly how long. Maybe 40-60 hours depending how fast you go?

If I had to give a rating for the game, it would be Mature. I'm pretty sure it doesn't say it on the cover though, so you could probably get away with it. It's not horribly violent so far, but just the idea of stealing souls and murdering things will probably warrant an M-rating if it's ever released in the US.

yeah the asia version has all english (voices/menus/subtitles) where as the chinese/korean release only has english voices, and everything else is in other languages. as far as rpgs goes, it's one of the best action rpgs EVER in my honest opinion. It's very similar to diablo 2 but it's aimed at a way more hardcore crowd. I can't read the language on the back to tell you the rating, but I would assume it has a mature rating as there is a decent amount of blood. play-asia is probably the cheapest place to go, however, I preordered there 2 weeks before the release and got an email stating that they couldn't send out the game until after march since they didn't predict so many preorders (the game is on backorder). the only version you can buy from play-asia isn't in full english, so I bought it from someone on ebay for a similar price. the game is really aimed at the hardcore crowd and I cannot stress this enough. The tutorial boss one-shots you if you get hit at all, as well as any other boss in the game. there's 10 classes to choose from but you can make any class like any other by investing your stats properly. For example I've got a noble who uses mainly magic and has weak melee attacks, but since I upped my vitality a bunch I'm able to 2 hand pick axes and such and now my melee hits a lot heavier. Just as you can base all your stats in magic as a melee class. Everything takes away stamina from your character (blocking attacks--but depending on how hard the person hits your shield is how much stam you lose, swinging your sword, running, rolling and so on). Your armor/sword has hp as you do, so you can't bash your sword into the wall or it'll eventually break. Dungeons are 5-6 hours long, but you can't go straight through a dungeon, you've gotto level your guy's stats in order to progress, so you do that by farming the beginning of each dungeon. Often times when you reach a boss in a dungeon you'll attempt him multiple times and you'll be able to tell if you need to grind some more souls or not. say you die midway through a dungeon (like 3 hours in) you lose your soul, meaning your health gets halved and you have to make it up to your previous point at half hp to get your full hp back...or you can kill a boss which is harder. regular enemies hit you HARD and often times can take 1/3 of your hp so you have to be really smart with blocking/dodging. you can do rolling attacks and so on, but depending on how heavy your armor is that's how fast your character will go into a roll, and how fast he'll actually roll...e.g. a cloth wearer rolls faster and goes into his roll a lot faster. there's coop if your having trouble, where you can have a friend come in and help you out, but they get no credit for killing your bosses/enemies etc. there's also PvP where you join another players game and take the place of a boss and go 1on1 with someone else in their game. seeing that you're younger I'd recommend something else as this game is very frustrating and takes A LOT of time to advance. don't get me wrong though, it's easily my favorite game available on the ps3.

well beware, this game is sort of hack and slash but it might not be the type of hack and slash you're thinking of. It's A LOT more like diablo than devil may cry. Before I bought it I assume it would be more along the lines of a DMC/GoW/NG type game but it's very RPG heavy. There's only a handful of different attacks you can do (strong/weak/2handed/rolling and then your one shot attack after you parry an enemies attack). It isn't really a game based on huge combo lists.

as I said before, I'd recommend not going to play-asia since the full english version has been on backorder since the release date, but you would want the japanese version which is Language: English, Chinese, where the japanese version is Voice: English; Text: Japanese. The japanese version probably has japanese menus, as well as japanese subtitles. The asian version has english voices/subtitles/menus.

and patience is very much needed for this game so be prepared. although the tutorial and level 1-1 regular mobs are quite easy, they get REALLY hard in 1-2 and on, and it just gets harder and harder. I've been handling the difficulty quite fine but I think I trapped myself in a dungeon and can't get back out >_-

well this is the video to the intro screen and some gameplay in the tutorial and the tutorial boss (the guy gets one shot lol)/and the nexus + dungeon 1-1. this is someone playing the japanese version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wI_ovxW7ut. hopefully it's not too bloody but I'd assume this might be more of a mature title if you wanna stay on the safe side.

I haven't seen any sex/nudity or cursing yet btw but don't hold me to that since I haven't gotten that far.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game too. I have to review it next month. Definitely not for everyone. If you're the kind of gamer that struggles with a typical JRPG, Demon's Souls will chew you up and spit you out.
