first get MGS3Subsistence which is the first game in the time line. It includes the next two games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake (also to complete your MGS collection get the originall MGS3 Snake Eater but this version does not include the two Metal Gear Games i just said above). Then get MGS, MGS VR missions, MGS the twin Snakes (the updated version of MGS but only on the game cube), MGS2 sons of liberty and if you want you can get Substance of MGS2. Also get MGS Portable ops it is the sequel of MGS3 on the PSP and, get MG Ac!d one and two for the PSP (but those dont invlovle anything with the storyline of MGS). Exactly, otherwise you'll be lost, there are many connections that you need to know from the earlier ones, even though MGS3 is the prequel.
