Im scared to do it... i dont know if i should just continue to save for a ps3 or get rid of my xbox360. I really do not think i will play both systems if i own them, but i dont wanna give up all i have on the 360 and then regret it later. I've put a lot of money into itbut at the same time im sort of thinking i should trade it in while its still worth something. I've been having this feeling of wanting a ps3 for the last few weeks, and to make matters worst.... I work at GAMESTOP. Any suggestions?draebless
How can you have doubts if you work at gamestop... watching games all days etc etc and you still dont know?!...
Anyway... I sugest the PS3
well, i've got all 3 next-gen consoles...i can confirm the PS3 is a much better built system than 360....plus, the bluray player and free online are a great bonus.
it all comes down to game exclusives...if you dont care for 360 exclusives, get a PS3....if its the other way around, keep your 360.
Well I have all 3 systems and I can confirm that the 360 is a much better built system than the PS3. Great online features and a huge community is a plus.
But I think you should just get both, because they both are going to have a great year in my opinion and both will have nice exclusives as well.

I see what you're doing but that line is just...nvm.
truthfully i think the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger on this trade is the fact that all my closest friends have a 360, i'd hate to seem like a traitor... but being that i do work at gamestop and im around all of this gaming bliss daily, its obvious to me that the ps3 will be the better system in the future. I've been bored with my 360. i've played all of the so-called best games for it and honestly a lot of those games didnt do it for me.
I got plenty of games for the 360 but all i really play is COD4, NBA 2k8, and Madden 08. Uncharted Drakes Fortune has been calling me recently. Is it possible that i would be just as happy with those games and uncharted on the ps3 as i am with everything i have for 360?
if i were u, id keep ur xbox cuz cmon think of all the games that are on it. deadrising, halo3, gears of war ace combat 6. u will regret it thats a for sure thing but also think of all the games coming out for the ps3 later on and what it can do for you. blue ray ( a LOT more) how the online network is setup, the games like resistance, warhawk, metal gear solid 4 (later) lair, god of war 3, and u can also get games that are on thexbox liek call of duty 4 andstuff liek that so basicly it all depends on what kind of gamer u are. if iwere u keep ur xbox and save up for a ps3 cuz probably the day u have enough theawesome games that are exclusive for the ps3 would have been out or close to it. but all im saying dont sell ur xbox
damn, they need to put a sticky at the top of the forum for this crap so people will stop with this.tgschmidt
It's not that big 'o deal is it? I mean, all you had to do was click the "back" button and this whole thread would have dissapeared.

lol, i'm happy you can see what i'm doing. Really anyone conformation doesn't mean anything, it's your own perference on what you like. I really do have all the systems and I think they are all great. If you are a gamer, then you should have them all.

VERY TRUE. Or he could of just not clicked on the thread in the first place. It's really a simple concept.
DONT keep both.... i really dont know what most of you people are talking about! some of the systems best games are multiplats! why would you spend 250+for halo3,bioshock,deadrising,gearsofwars or R:fom,warhawk,HS...... its just not worth it, unlessyour super hardcorehip-hop-cola2
See that's what im talking bout, im definitely not Super Hardcore. I mean really i like to play games, but its not that serious. I gotta wife and a son, my gaming time is already reduced as it is.

keep your xbox dude, your talking to somebody who only own a ps3 and loves it, but if you dont mind the xbl fee then there's no reason for you to buy another system. of course you may also desperately need to play MGS4... then i would sell lol

i have all three. it's not that i have all kinds of time to play games. I've always been into video games and i'm at the point where i can afford all the systems so i that's what i did. each has some games i want to play and with the ps3, i get the blu-ray player also.im in the same boat brother, id do it, im getting ready to. 2008 is gonna be a down for xbox. The system peaked with halo 3.

I already did it... too bad nobody wants to buy my xbox, yet:(
I dont have time for 2 systems (let alone 2 games... COD4 takes up most my time). PS3 is the winner.

OK first off, look at the slate of releases for both consoles over the next year or two.... especially the exclusives. Developers are pretty much caught up with programming for the PS3 so your not gonna see alot of "the 360 version is better" stuff anymore.
Ps3 exclusives: Killzone, Home, Metal Gear 4, White Knight story, Star Ocean, Disgaea 3, Final Fantasy 13 games, Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2, God of War 3, Wipeout PS3... theres probably more too
Xbox 360: Halo Wars, Fable 2, Alan Wake, Lost Odyssey, Gears of War ... probably more too.
Think about if you want those 360 games or not. Also, think about if your 360 will be working or not in the next 2 to 3 years. When I buy multiplatform games I will usually buy the PS3 version now for a few important reasons. 1. Online multiplayer is free, and the PSN is getting up to speed with Live (if I rated Live a 9/10 i would rate PSN 8/10, definately not worth it to me to pay $50 for in game messaging and Video rentals) Id like to ween myself off that $50 a year if possible. 2. The Playstation is a much more reliable system. Think about it, I dont like having to worry about whether I'm gonna be able to finish a 360 game when I have the constant fear that my system is gonna die. I bought a launch 360 and 2 months later I got a RROD. Havent had to replace it since then, but its been a while and judging from the horrid failure rate stories from a lot of people, I'm probably about due for a RROD. Plus my disc drive already acts up now and again, just spitting out a disc in the middle of a game or DVD... lame. The only game I have to play for my 360 is Mass Effect right now but its a long game and i dont like worrying if i'll be able to finish it without hardware failure. I dont have that problem with my Ps3 or Wii.

So you telling him to trade in his 360 for a PS3 and miss out on the exclusive games they have coming out, Like Halo ward, GeOW2, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Left 4 Dead, Alan Wake, Lost Odysessy and most likely more to come?

Surely the failure rate of 360's when compared to the PS3's have something to do with how the Console was built.. what is it 33% to .02%?
