Jeanne D'Arc the best game for turn based RPG especially for beginner (the gameplay is easy to understand) & you gonna love it.getfreaky

I'm an RPG NOOB as well and found this game very easy to get into and very fun. Great story and kinda holds your hand a little bit at the beginning to get you on your way. Great game.

After watching gameplay videos I think RPGs would bore me. Thanks to everyone that posted though. Any suggestions for my next game? I have Burnout Legends NBA 08 Daxter and NFL Street 3HoopsJunky1

As for boring you, it kind of depends on what you get. Final Fantasy Tactics may bore you, because it's strongest points are the story, which is somewhat complex, and job "leveling" system (still one of the greatest games of all time though). Jeanne D'Arc has an amazing story and great visuals. Again, though, with your taste, I guess it might bore you, don't see how though.

FF: Crisis Core may be more to your liking when it comes out though, as even though it's an RPG, it seems like it will be very action packed.

I won't recommend any game other than when that one comes out, because I wouldn't be the best judge of what you would like, having little interest in sports games(love sports, and even games, just not on the psp), and don't see anything like Daxter coming out till GoW: Chains of Olympus, which comes out around the same time as Crisis Core (2-3 weeks before). I would recommend GoW: CoO and FF:CC both, I know I'm getting both. Until then though, someone else will have to help you.

instead of turn base go for action rpg's like marvel ultimate alliance, gurimin, or kingdom of paradise.

dont look past turn base rpg's or srpg's they are fun and usually have some great stories.

as for the other games you listed daxter and burnout would be my picks.

If you have ever played a turn based strategy game before than give final fantasy tactics: war of the lions a spin. IMO it's a great game but is medium in difficulty and can be figured out if you aren't an idiot (it took me 2 hours to figure everything out). If you want a straight out rpg I'd get breath of fire 3 (import from the uk because it never made it stateside) and final fantasy 2 (haters say its bad but i personally like it).Whiteblade999

it is an S-RPG,

if one wants to try a real RPG,FF1 and FF2 is good choices.

PS:there are many RPG games on psp,

but most of them are only for JAPAN,
