I bet u could but no one bothers to make any viruses for the psp coz its pointless. If PC's crash people care but if psps crash its not the end of the world, PC's cost more anyways

Well you can technically brick your PSP through firmware upgrades and such (turning off your PSP when upgrading), and there actually could be a virus that would basically just brick your PSP when viewing a website...but Sony has been pretty good security wise, and everytime a hack comes out they quickly patch it. So just keep your firmware updated and you'll be just fine ;) You're almost guaranteed 100% to be fine anyways even if you don't update.

Lol, you want to look at porn, eh? ;) Heheh... It's ok... Everyone thinks that way... At least normal people. *Glares at the people who try to deny it and say it's sick when THEY KNOW IT'S TRUE!* *Shakes fist in air*

I heard there are some websites that can be harmful to your psp and cause the red screen of doom *thats unrecovable :O* , most recently a site that caused some red screens was found linked to a bogus version of the new 3.52m3 custom firmware update.

DON'T update your firmware...PSP gamers will know all about the compatibility issues.

FACT: You can not get a virus on the PSP.ootp2003

I dunno, a virus is simply a piece of code that someone has written that can exploit a feature of an Operating system or program, so it could be hidden as a jpg or avi file and actually be a nasty virus.

I agree with your fact in the sense that I haven't heard of any and no one I know has ever been affected, but if someone was determind enough it could be done I would have thought.

LOL

That happened to me once, believe it or not,

As the psp connects as a USB mass storage device to a computer, I connected it to a friend's computer, then went back home, try to put in some music and the antivirus said virus detected LOL, my psp was infected with a virus that was on my friend's cpu, I just ran the antivirus and everything was fine. As there are no viruses that target psp system

person who mentioned porn, I wouldn't do that on my psp (the quality would prolly be bad) lol, but that's not the reason I asked. I talked to my friend and he explained pretty much what you guys mentioned earlier, hookin it up to the comp and gettin a virus. I just wasn't told that at first and thought he meant a virus effecting the psp's files, thanks for the info though. :D
