I will be getting a PS3 tomorrow morning, what will I need for startup?

Hey guys, I have a Wii, and a 360. Tomorrow I'm adding a ps3 to my lineup, and was wondering what I'll be needing besides what's in the box, if anything. With the Wii I needed my component cables, and a memory card. PS3 comes with HDMI, and internal memory, but will I need anything else?

What ps3 exclusive do I NEED to get? Resistance? Something else?

Well if you have an HDTV you are going to need to buy an hdmi cable unless you already have one. An extra controller might also be worth picking up but other than that theres not much. Get resistance and wait like 8 days to get WarHawk with the free headset.

you might want to get one of them ethernet splitters aswell... so u dont have to switch ur cord from pc to ps3..

It does NOT come with an HDMI cable, you will need one if you plan on using that as your output method. Aside from games and possibly a controller, you're set, aside from that.spazzx625

i say this because i use to only support xbox360. i sold my wii and got ps3 now i like both for different reasons. and to set the record straight - i despise the wii and nintendo. only they can get away with milking a franchise and extorting small children... pokemon uranium, anyone? i dont even know what color or element they are on but i know they sold a gazillion copies...

o yea dont get oblivion, game of the year edition is out sept 10 i think, will have all the expansions!!!!

Na u can create internal memory cards for ps2/ps1 games. Maybe get a bigger harddrive man. I chewed through 30 gig really quick so I upgraded to a 200 gig hdd. Thats a good thing about ps3 it is ready to mod straight out the box.

As for games.... theres not really much atm, but there will be in the next coupley months. If you're a fps kinda guy grab resistance hands down. If you're into racing games, go with motorstorm. If you like adventure games, go Ninja Gaiden or if you're an rpg guy grab oblivion... but like that guy said, the special edition comes out soon.
