The fighting comes from a far greater populace on both sides. The fanboys. They aren't reasonable and often just say rediculous things about the others platforms. Like they are devoted the their console and would give there life to it. A fewer percentage just enjoy all around gaming. They can have reasonable discussions and really respect other peoples opinions and take them into account. Fanboys do not, and probably can't.EMERlCa6969See u show a very good example for an all-around gamer, because u are one,and a all-around gamer can enjoythe systems they have like both PS3and360 and talk about bothof them.Thank u for the example Emerica.

Agreed!!!!
Its the best question on the planet, why,If u dont like PS3 than so what,If u dont like 360 than so what, buy what u like,If u like certain games for PS3 than buy,If u like certain games and online multiplayer buy a Xbox 360.What I'm trying to say is The reason why were fighting is because we dont know anything about the other system or u just hate the other system because u dont have one.So why is everyone fighting?:|covenant_dude
I agree with you to some extent, but the reason I will argue with 360 people not from not knowing about 360 or not having one. I own a 360 and have played plenty of games on it. I argue because I honestly feel like it was my worst purchase because since I got my PS3 at launch, I hardly ever play my 360. It just wasn't the experience I wanted it to be. Also I had to put up with a bunch of crap from their customer service and not to mention the red rings of death.

Well I'm gald u enjoy your PS3 and I'm sorry the Xbox 360 giving u trouble, justtake back u 360 and save up for some PS3 games later this year.well i am a die hard 360 fan, not because of ms or what not, because the 360 meets just about all my needs, i love it.
but that being said doesnt mean i cant be a die hard ps3 fan as well, i plan on getting the 60 gig version of the ps3 right after i get my sharp aquos 32 inch 1080p lcd. nice right :)
and the ps3 will surely meet needs that werent met before, and some that i havent even thought of,
so having both the awesome xbox360 and the soon to be awesome ps3 sitting right beside each other on my desk I can have the best of both mind blowing worlds. and not miss out on much at all this gen. know what i mean
having both systems helps both companies out in 2 ways.
1. having a 360 helps MS out in profit. but in turn helps sony out with upping their game because of better competition.
2.having a ps3 helps sony out in profit, but in turn helps MS out with upping their game because of better competition.
see by me owning both "even if the tiniest bit" helps out all gamers in some form or the other, plus i get best of both worlds.
Its a Peeing contest. you always have to have one up on everyone else. who here was NOT stoked and bragged about owning a PS3 when it was released? i know i did. Mine always has to be better then yours and since you have something thats not mine but is competing, it automatically sucks. dsmusician^Another example of your own opinion.
I own both... brb, I'm gonna go kick my own ass.
As much as fanboys can annoy you they are a necessity in the gaming business. Brand loyalty keeps companies afloat by getting them through rough times and keeps the competition going which brings us better games. Arguing which system is better will never end.
man this site is having some technical problems in the forums tonight taking forever to load some of this crap....
anyway but i know some people may not like what i posted eariler in this thread, but i think it is a good way to look at it as a gamer. wouldnt some of you say.
is anyone else having trouble loading up some of this forum buisness some of mine is taking forever. though its not my connection because i run a test and its at almost 5 megs.
anyway whati posted earlier some people might not like that well, but i honestly think its a good way to look at it as a gamer wouldnt most of you say.
Well i just don't like M$ in general, i mean ever since 95 there products have been nothing but trouble for me, they have horrid customer support, and i bought a 360 at launch thinking M$ might have finally done something right, i took it out of the box hooked it up and it was broken, returned it the next day and put the money towards my PS3, which i have had no problems with at all, and almost every sony product for that matter.
I just don' like the buisness philosophy upon which M$ has extablished for itself.
Because people want to be right about their choices and more importantly they want to be right and everyone else should be wrong. And when they're unsure about their decisions, they bond with others to convince themselves that they did the right thing, often at the expense of people or a group of people who chose something different.BenderUnit22
that is so very true... but i have a 360 and am waiting till now,(well actually till after i get my 1080p sharp 32 in lcd) so i can enjoy both systems at their true potential.
simple
because its like cheering for your favorite football/bball/hockey/soccer team
no one wants to see the home team lose the game
You're all missing the point. If it don't have blast processing, then it isn't worth owning.
But seriously, you're (mostly) all right. I love 'em all to death btw. Each has strengths and weaknesses, so if they're combined, they obtain awesome perfection- Kinda like voltron.

the power is yours...........no wait thats captian planet, ohi confuse those old shows, but hey same principle
I have both and I am always arguing with myself.
Which system should I buy this game for, which system should I play today, which console should I watch my movies on?
Finally I just get up and say "god, would you shut the **** up."

cuz solid snake could totally win in a fight with master chief! not old snake though...but you should never beat up old guys pick a fight with raiden he used to be annoying. It's like pirates vs. ninjas people argue about it because they have nothing better to do.
BEACAUSE OF $$$$$.... face it we would all have all the consoles if we could afford it...da62087boi
But then who would we argue with?
They fight mainly because one side things that their console is better than the other, the other side disagrees, and both parties fight it out.
It may also have to do with the 360 stealing exclusive games from the PS3.

They don't get along because both of the systems are about even overall. PS3 is a little stronger then the Xbox 360, but really not by much at all. And any game made on the PS3 is possible on the Xbox 360. Likewise for games developed on the 360 to the PS3. Developers could make Killzone 2 or Uncharted on the 360, if given the time to use the system's strengths to it's fullest so that it could support such a game.
Ps3 has two huge advantages over the Xbox 360. And that's it's free online (while Xbox 360's Live is better, that's only to be expected since Microsoft has had more time with online play, given time I'm sure Ps3's online could rival or surpass Live) and that the system is far more reliable then the 360.
Ps3 system fail rate is said to be less then 5% and the Xbox 360's fail rate is said to be at 33%.
Really Ps3 owners and 360 owners should be friends. They could just gang up on that silly Nintendo Wii.
