then are the player names and stuff like that in mlb 07 the show all messed up like those in PES and WE? I don't want to be hitting with B rod or something

They have 3rd party rights 

1st party can still make MLB games with names and teams and everything

Thats why EA didn't want the license. They felt the price was too high to still allow Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo to make their own MLB games.
