[QUOTE="tgschmidt"]well if they would have let the Adult industry put out Betamax movies they would have been all right before. XL70What about UMDs? That's a failed Sony video format.
UMDs were never ament to win a format war sony made them just because they needed a new type a portable media disc to use with psp. they even stated "we have no intension of competing with DVD"
if blu ray wins the war against hd-dvd then then blu ray will become the first video format developed by sony to win the video format war.comissario
just a FYI, Sony was one of the creators of CD and DVD.
If Blu ray wins then the PS3 will win sgallag_play
No!! Dont make ps3 a Blu-Ray player its a gaming system, you can call ps3 "winning" when it gains on gaming department not on this. But it would surely help ps3 no doubt in that.

How is UMDs a failed format? From what I've noticed, there are movies still coming out on that format. Most recently, Ghostrider.[QUOTE="sgallag_play"]If Blu ray wins then the PS3 will win Conjuredevil

Its name is Playstation. It's where you play games, movies and online. It's about entertainment NOT only games.
There is a very funny yet old video on youtube called sony and their formats , It insinuates that the Blu ray will be the next betamax , I pity the poor fanboy who made it , he got massively selfpwned...AgentA-Mi6ummmmm.....i don't think BR will go the way of betamax, but how can you say anybody is "selfpwned" as you put it? have you not seen the truly disturbing sig that you have? seriously, what in the hell is that?

The only company supporting UMD now is Sony.
What is the direct competition for UMD? There is none. It isn't a battle if only one side is involved.

Yeah, I hate how pervs pass off prepubescent bathing scenes as art because it's "anime". A group of five-year-olds nuzzling in a bathtub is obscene. You should be forced to change it.

I'm not an anime authority or anything (my brother is... geek!!), but bathing scenes are prevalent in anime because it's a Japanese way of life. When my brother travels to Japan he tells me all about how they have large community hot springs just like the community pools in the Roman days. "LG" Life's good! They guy obviously wanted to show you something you would find "fascinating" so you'd talk about it. And you have. He wins! FTW!
"If"? Take a trip to just about any retailer, look at the BD library, look at the HDDVD library... the war is over. All hail Bluray.D_Znuhtz
yes, ALL HAIL BLU RAY!
