If ff7 were being remade how would you re imagine the remake?

just curious if square enix was to remake final fantasy 7 would you want the traditional graphics closer to the art style of the original concept similar to kingdom hearts or would you rather see the avent children style graphical upgrandes. Also if they added voice work who would you have voice the main characters. Would you choose industry voice actors like mark hamil or big stars like samuel jackson.Solidshark21

I'd expect AC style graphs seeing how the latest FF spin-offs have used that style.

As for VAs, I'd also expect those from AC... because

Definitely Advent Children style. They have made the models for the characters of VII in their original get ups and they look amazing. Plus, it has become the look of it now. As far as voice actors, as long as its good. Steve Burton does a decent Cloud. The one I want changed is definitely Aerith. I am sorry Mena Suvari fans, but she sucks as Aerith.

As far as other things, definitely a new translation, new story sequences and I would like to see how they tie the events that came before that have been explored in the Compilation. Gameplay, I would like it real time, with Cloud and co actually doing the stuff they do in Advent Children, but I wouldn't mind the traditional style at all either.

Tech Demo gfx, AC voice actors, and maybe better, or traditional FF7 gameplay. I really really really hope Square Enix makes a remake for the ps3. >=3

Id like the same gameplay with MAYBE a few new story and areas added to flesh things out. New Weapons to and summons would be nice. I just want an amazing looking FF7 and then an even better looking FF8 remake!!!! OH god i love FF8acidBURN1942

Even though I would buy the remake on day one I actually agree with you. They kinda raped FF7 for what its worth. Its been ruined by fanboys so much I cant look at the game the same anymore.

If they did do a FF remake it should be FF6. All the noobs started with 7 and think its the best ever cause it was their first FF and for some their first rpg ever. 6 was a masterpiece that many younger FF fans will never know about unfortunately.

On topic if FF7 must be remade I would want the original gameplay to remain untouched. Give it next gen graphics, remaster the sound, possibly add a little extra content and im good. NO VO'S!

The people that would work on a FFVII remake will only be working on one major title at a time. So, most likely if they did a remake of VII, that means they would be doing that instead of a new FF or KH or Chrono game or...etc. I'm sorry, but it's VERY sad that so many people want a remake, especially since most of those people want the same game but with updated graphics. Seriously, I don't want to hear anyone try to explain that. If all you care about are graphics, you don't deserve the great games. FFVII was a great game, the graphics were top of the line when it was released, there is ZERO reason to remake it, other than for Squenix to make easy money.

As someone already said, I would much prefer a remake of FFVI for the ps3. Either way, I don't want a REMAKE of any game other than the Xenosaga series, but done by Squenix, and completely redone so it's not 15 hours long and actually bears a resemblance to the best RPG ever made, Xenogears.
