if FFXIV is free 2 play, would u consider it???

well even if it does end up being a F2P MMO, i wouldnt be fully sold on it. However it would certainly gain more interest to me. Most traditional MMO take up so much of ur time and mainly due to the subscription fee that ull be forced to spend hours grinding to reach the lvl cap. Now with a F2P MMO, it dosent take away the grinding but you will be able to play at a slower and fair pace and really take ur time playing the game instead of feeling u have to rush through the game to justify that subscription. What do u think? If this ends up being F2P, will you be interested in getting it???

The game can't be sustained without a monthly fee of some sort, especially with all of the work that has gone into it, and the work that will go into every update after that.

I'm fine with monthly fees, it doesn't cost that much if you have a job. You definately get your money's worth with MMO's that you pay monthly fees for.

FFXI is one of my fav MMORPGs and even though I never really invest that much time into MMORPGs, I'll get 14 even if I have to pay for it.

If it's free, I will for sure get it. I won't get it right away though probably, since New MMOs tend to have some issues with balance, etc...

I'm already considering it, but if it is more than about $6 a month I definately won't get it.

its not going to be free but i'll play it anyway, xi was great and horribly addictive, now that im older i know i can control myself and i'll get the most out of this game for years.

If it's free I'm getting it release day. Otherwise no. I mean sooner or later 15 will come out and seeing as Sony announced 14 before 13 is even finished, I think my money would be wasted. 14 will be old news before ya know it. anthonycg

What? 14 is like 11 its a MMORPG it will be around for at least 5-6 years. FF 11 came out in 02(JP 04 in US) and its still going on.

I hate subscription games....

I hope it stays Pay to Play... I mean this is the whole reason why I was able to stay playing FFXI. It had quality over every free to play game I ever played. If it hits free to play, the quality of the game will diminish on day one.

I'd still struggle to bring myself to play it if it was free to play. I'll stick to Final Fantasy Versus XIII for my FF fix this gen, FF games that go to the 360 just loose attractiveness to me, like fair enough multiplatform is the way to go if you want money but i'm just too use to playing FF games on Playstation consoles leaving FFvXIII as the only one I really want to play. Knowing me being a loyal FF fan though i'll still play FFXIII and FFXIV at some stage though.

It it's free to play, then I'm probably going to buy it. I thought the worst thing about FFIX Online was the fact that you had to pay to play.

As long as it's a flat rate of 12.95 USD or less. But, as it is the extra character fee is putting me off :( .
