I don't know if it will work with 80GB PS3, but I heard Sony is allowing people to trade their out of warranty 60GB systems and get a new 120GB for around whatever the cost of out repairs are.
^^that sounds impossible, but a link would be nice. yeah, for best results, back up your current ps3 to an external hard drive, sync your trophies to the server, and it will be a seamless transation.
i have a owning multiple PS3s question. If u have a multiple PS3s, and u registered the controllers with both PS3s, wouldnt both Systems turn on by pressing the PS button?

why would you pay 300 bucks for a new slim? send ur glitchy 80 gig to sony and demand it be fixed. my 60 gig got ylod i`ll be damned if i go out and buy a new ps3. gonna let a modder dude fix mine for 30 bucks.
