I mean this game has seen a billion free updates so i was wondering when i 1st pop in the game, do i have to download the updates?

if youve ever downloaded multiple things on the ps3 then youll know that it gives two bars, 1 says total completion and the other for completion of one item. it all goes into the burnout paradise save file. but thats just the free stuff, after awhile youll get hooked and want some of the premium stuff. and most of that is worth it too. if youre gonna pay for any dlc then get the GT Nighthawk, best money youll ever spend on a game.
[QUOTE="K1LLR3175"]You download the updates, and to get the DLC you will have to go to the PS store and download then install them.PSP107So Are the updates in one file? or i have to keep downloading updates? As soon as you put in the game you should get one update. The only time you download new thing is when you are downloading the DLC off the PS Store.
Fantastic soundtrack? i sure you mean custom soundtrack...One file, and then future updates are seperate. Totally worth the 20 bucks though (If you're in America). Graphics are superb, soundtrack is fantastic, and you'll almost never get bored of it. Plus you can get the greatest hits edition for the same price =D

Fantastic soundtrack? i sure you mean custom soundtrack...To each and their own.It can't be worst than Burnout Revenge's Soundtracks. The game was amazing but the soundtrack was terrible to me.It had 41 songs and I only listened to 8 of them. One file, and then future updates are seperate. Well Burnout Paradise is mostly just ambient music from the last 5 games... like just basically stuff someone whipped up in 2 minutes on their mac or crap like that.. then i think there's 20 or so actual songs, ranging from Avril Lavigne to Slayer... its just horrible... the custom soundtracks are what kept me playing the game...Actually Burnout is one of the best valued games available.. care to express why you think its so poor rather than just cutting it down? You get a poor game that is not worth the money.

You get a great racing game I wish I didn't have to get rid of. No worries now that it is $20.00 it shall be mine again. Too bad the Ultimate Box won't be on the PS3 though:(
I've been thinking of grabbing this on the PSN store since it is only 20 bucks. I was wondering though, since the game came out, what new stuff have they added in free updates? I heard bikes was free right? For now I just want to pay 20 bucks and worry about any of the other DLC later on. Also which DLC that Burnout has is worth the price? I was thinking of getting the party pack, but is it worth 10 bucks? Sorry for all the questions guys, thanks in advance for any advice :)
how is the online activity ?? is it still going on hard ? or not that much
Ipik_Fenris
I also would like to know how is Online? The is out for a year, are there still people who playing it?
the original game was worth full price but now you get the bikes for free when you buy the discounted game. its a great bargain and worth buying if you havent. i wonder, if you download the game on psn you probably wont have to update it, right?grand17How much HDD space does it take up
You get what I consider to be a seriously overrated game. But hey, I'm in the minority I guess, so whatever.
The updates are a few hundred megabytes of free content. While I didn't really care much for the game, I do respect Criterion immensely for their support of their product, which is the main reason I bought it. I definitely hope developers are taking notes from what Criterion did here, and how much money they made off of people who might normally be interested, like myself.

why did think it's overated?you could, but seriously Midnight club is better
and it has 1 free DLC that kicks ass
its more real life based.

What is this so called free dlc? They expanded the map, but unless you pay ten bucks for the premium package, it's emptier than a strip club on Sunday Morning[QUOTE="K1LLR3175"][QUOTE="PoisoN_Facecam0"] Fantastic soundtrack? i sure you mean custom soundtrack...PoisoN_Facecam0To each and their own.It can't be worst than Burnout Revenge's Soundtracks. The game was amazing but the soundtrack was terrible to me.It had 41 songs and I only listened to 8 of them. The soundtrack with the game was terrible, the only thing I could really listen to was the cIassical Beethoven music. Thank god for custom soundtracks.
Free DLC: Bikes and alot of races for the bikes, Day/night cycles and fog, custom soundtrack, restart race, and 2 cars that are used online only. Party pack is "pass the controller" stuff. Little things, waste of $10, so do not get it! All the packs, IMO are worth it but if your only going to get 1 pack for now then I'd say get the Toys Pack. The toys are really cool little cars but they also really help getting stuff done especially STUNT RUNS, they are kinda tough. Also, the toy cars are extremely hard to wreck. The online community is great, me and some of my fellow "burner friends" (burner referring to the game not drugs) are always willing to help ppl that are new to the game and are show that they will try.DManSteelerFan
so the party thing is a waste of money eh :(
so i guess without it theres no multiplayer eh? offline i mean

ooooohhh, true true. Maybe that is one of the reasons why I never got into the GT series. lolThe game is completely different from release...the main menu is even different. I bought this game day one, and definitely regret it. Not for the updates, they have only made it better. However, this game is frustrating, not that fun, and I have to tell myself to keep playing. Burnout 3:Takedown was my favorite racing game until Motorstorm came along. Burnout Paradise is just...I just can't get into it. I have the Class A license in it, as well as a bunch of cars. I tried really hard to love it, but the free roaming thing is not Burnout to me. I am sure it is just me, but I regret spending 60 dollars on this game. Burnout 3 demolishes this game in terms of fun factor.
I ended up downloading it from PSN Store and it was like 3.3GB and then an additional for updates. I decided to get the extra DLC and it's pretty nice has lots of trophies, just haven't had the time to play much of it because in about one week I bought like 4 other games which keeps me busy. I think Burnout Paradise is nice but if you pretty much beat the game in and out and have all the trophies you're bound to get bored from it.
