I don't see why there would be a correlation between those games. Kane & Lynch isn't even an open-world game like the others you mentioned... But I guess they're all about crime? Why don't you just play the demo and see if you like it?

I wouldn't say Mafia is an open-world game. I can't say for saint's row since I haven't tried it.

I wouldn't say Mafia is an open-world game. I can't say for saint's row since I haven't tried it.

Mafia II is an open-world game. Just because it's more structured than some others in the genre doesn't mean it's not open-world. Hell, even the demo is open-world (albeit on a timer).

Never tried Mafia 2 yet but from Mafia 1, the gameplay seems pretty linear similar to HL2 when I think about it. You're ALWAYS on a mission and there is no time to just roam around and explore the place.

Well I downloaded the demo and I must say it's really nothing like the games I mentioned. It plays a lot like those army games everyone loves, except it takes place in the city. And the visuals while running are a big turn off IMO. Looks like I'll be passing on this game.

Demos usually provide better advice then other people, I find ;)

Yea I dont see whats with all the hype I didn't like the game at all
