If my PS3 breaks down and Sony sends it back, will it ask me to reformat?

i was just wondering that if my PS3 breaks down and needs repairs, when they send it back and i put in back my HDD will it ask me to reformat all my data? cause i dont wanna lose it all.

It depends what broke. Mine lost all game data, save data and Trophies. I cried!! :cry:
