Wouldn't that be enough awesome? I personally think it's all it needs to start bringing some huge fan-freaks to the genre.

Trophy support would be a cool feature on the PSP. Too bad we'll most likely never see trophy support though.
It would be a great addition to the PSP. If they did add them onto the PSP, I would literally wipe the dust of my games. And chuck them into the PSP. And game to get me some trophies :P

Is this like achievements and such on the 360?
fend_oblivion
Yes it is.
In that case: No. Only a simpleton would be attracted to a simple trick like that. I'll grant you, I'll try and get as much I can on my playthrough, but I have too much games to focus on getting every achievement in every game. It's a welcome addition as any, but just a party trick, nothing more.[QUOTE="fend_oblivion"][QUOTE="Daavpuke"]

I was looking at the FF 7 Perfect Run walkthrough by AbsoluteSteve and was about this close to doing the most jobless thing ever. Luckily, I snapped to my senses and finished the game by doing those which weren't impossible/or too boring.
I'm a completionist freak, but luckily due to school and time/money constraints, I usually focus on completing the game.
While I enjoy gaining medals in the most recent "SOCOM", I think that with all of the cheating and hacking out there that trophies on PSP would be a slightly pointless system. It's just too open a platform for such reward systems to be legitimized in any meaningful way.
Just my 2 cents.

My thoughts as well, it would just be an invitation for the hackers to come cheat the system as usual.

Agreed. While I like the idea of having trophies, having cheaters ruin the system is a sure thing. That said, I never really pay any attention to anyone's else trophies anyway, just my own. Seeing as their really is no 'reward' for collecting them even if people cheat the system they don't make a profit just false bragging rights. I just would like them to feel like I have more of an incentive to play my games more. Must be one of them simpletons the other poster was referring too. :P

Exactly why Sony themselves say it's not happening. It would be very cool, though. I think Sony needs to either find a way to stop the forbidden-to-be-mentioned activity to stop once and for all, or maybe do an in-game XMB, and enable it on games other than just LBP.Please Log In to post.
