Dont forget your not out of the woods yet when just buying the PS3, if you want the full expirience you need to get the HDMI cable...good one for 100 bucks. Then you would need to get a warranty that prtects against accidental drops and stuff like that for like at least 2 years or something, that at least like 100, or 150 should i say. Then oh no dont forget the actual games buddy, 60 bucks a piece isnt that nice, and if you want some decent ones. Get Fight Night Round 3, Resistance, Oblivion(f***in must buy if you own a PS3) and Spider man 3(well im really hoping this will be a good game). So there you f*&^ing go, another 180 bucks on games (not counting spider man 3). OK not lets add it up.. PS3 lets say it was the 550 price drop.. so 550 for PS3, 100 for HDMI, 150 for a good warranty, 180 for the games. 980 f*$&ing bucks for a PS3 to be played they way it supposed to be. Oh wait how can forget, TAX.... here in NY its like somewhere like .8% , so thats like almost 70 something bucks, add that over a f*$&ing 1000 bucks.

Keep in mind this is all considering you have HDTV (better pray you at least got a 1080i for the love of mike...)

You buy the most peice of expensive piece of gaming hardware out in the market and Sony cant include a dam HDMI cable of any f**$&ing sort in the least to support the HD gen of gaming and viewing.

I dont mind much it wasnt included becuase i already had one and its real great and all, but you just wonder ya know?

Anyway.. I dont mind spending all this money on something like a PS3 expieirnce investment, I truly belive its only gonna get better, once the devs see the open possibilties and capacity for the new blu ray format, that is when the PS3 will be something truely great. Just seeing a game like Crysis and that being possible on the PS3 just makes me so happy. And why not? people that do great things deserve recognition and support.

And about my investment, its not like I went broke or took a plundge in life because i did. People need to be smart in investments and saving money and such, but whats the point of gathering money for so long when you rarely make any inveestments that wont bring some sort of relief but instead just more and more sturggle of trying to earn more money without wasting it because of some fear or paranoia or some bulls**$& some people got. Live a little people, who knows how long your gonna be alive. But definatley you wont go broke if you invest in something like this, I know because your reading this post.

Or you could get a perfectly good generic HDMI cable for under 20 bucks online. A cable is a cable, and you won't see any difference in quality between a $200 or a $20 cable.

I tried and I couldn't find any data suggesting that there is a gradation in quality of HDMI cables based on price. Could you provide me with a link?
