ok heres the deal..i have had my psn account for a while now..i already have 2 platinum trophies (might not be that much but took me some time) and i have like 400 trophies. only problem is i hate my psn name..i havent really been collecting or caring about trophies lately but i like having them so people can see some of my harder gaming achivements even though my 2 platinums are considerd to be rather easy (burnout paradise and fallout 3). so should i create a new account to change my psn name or just keep my old account to keep my trophies? (if i make a new account im not gonna platinum those games again, lazy..in fact that means that i wont be collecting trophies anymore) so its a question of whats more important: trophies or a cool psn name.. what would you do?

If you hate your name than change it. You don't have to delete your old account, but the platinum trophies don't really carry anything other than personal achievement. You know you got them, and that's all the matters

yeah but im only gonna play on 1 of them..and i guess ur right about it being nothing more then a personal achivement..though after all the "hard work" i would like it to show on my account..hmm...decisions decisions... :P
If you hate the name that much, then you might as well change it. Replay the games and get the platinum trophies again.. Rattlesnake_8
easy to say..burnout might not take too long but fallout took me 70 hrs..and i have newer games i wanna play..ill probably just do what Bpoole96 said create a new account and keep my old 1 if i ever feel like trophy hunting

well i didnt really care about it..didnt even bother changing my avatar untill recently..only lately i've actualy started having some psn friends and joining online clans so i want to have a normal name people can remember..
anyway yeah im gonna create a new account (but still keep my old 1 in case i regret it).. so i was thinking of either calling myself: "FightWithGuns" or "HeadPunch" (already created both accounts to secure the name)..which is better? or do they both equaly suck?

My suggestion would be to think of things that actually mean something to you or amuse you and try to be original. In the end, it doesn't really matter what name you decide on, as long as you like it. Like another poster said, just don't do something like "Shadow ninja", "Dark Reaper", "Death _______".
HeadPunch is fine. I personally wouldn't use it but if you like it than you should be fine. The only names I see that bother me are names like iQWiiK-5k0peZzx. When I see names like that online I will go completely out of my way to kill them as many times as possible

Why doesn't Sony have some way of changing your PSN ID? Seriously that other system has no trouble with it so why doesn't the PS3? It would be a nice feature to have.

You like the name Head Punch so use it, don't listen to other people who tell you it sucks because they have lame names. Just be more sure about yourself , take control and do what you want.
Alright then, use something that is heard Greek. Greek is a very cool language (not cuz I am Greek) but has great words and well formed (not sure about tis word). U can use names of Ancient Greek Gods (Zeus, Ares, Appolon, Dionysos, Poseidon, Pluton, Hermes... I don't like names like _____killer or superduper______...

Well if you wanted to change your name you could pay someone to do it. There is no reason not to offer this as a "premium feature" of sorts.

Because the PSN name is something like e-mail for the PSN. It's not just a name. It's also an adreess where someone can send messages. U can't change ur e-mail adreess but U have to create a new one if U don't like someting in it...

If the 360 can do it with no problems I still see no reason Sony couldn't offer the service and it cost like 10 dollars. I know some people who would definitely use it.
