I'm gonna have to say LBP because the game is really unique and creative and you just can't say no to those sackboys, also I'm not too fond of FPS's even though R2 does impress.
I'd like to know myself. I get the level creation and all, but is that it? There's nothing else? I want Resistance more because I love shooters. I'm not ruling out LBP though, but I'll need a demo or a rental before I purchase.
Little Big Planet, easy. There's just so much more in the package. The replayability seems limitless. I feel like I'd have more fun with this title for longer.

Theres more to it than level creation...theres hundreds of playable levels, you can play other peoples levels and games, unlock new items, create new items and have others compete to get them, build cars, boats, planes (probably), theres the whole community side of the thing. Multiplayer.
I dunno to me it just looks like a total creative exercise you can pretty much do with it whatever you want

Thanks. You're right, too. They can also go from extremely pissed to tongue-hanging-out-of-their-heads-goofy in 0.2 seconds.
havnt played r1 but r2 just looks insane and as much as i want to kick that giant building size monster alien thing i still have to go for LBP cus it really looks like something uniqe, new and i like fantasy thing that you can create you own stuff in there, share it and much more and since there are so many other shooter out alreddy yh LBP, but ill be getting both anyway

Resistance 2. I have next to no interest in Little Big Planet. It just doesn't seem like my kind of game. It looks like the sort of thing I would play for a few hours and then never touch again.
lol are you kidding? R2 all the way, it looks so much better and 60 PPL online, I think LBP is way over priced it should only be like 15$ but it's 60$ what is that?
Little Big Planet because it is bringing something new. The FPS genre is far from young and it's all pretty much the same concept of shoot and kill. LBP brings the element of creativity in an exciting way to the table which can make a game so much more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong Resistance 2 is going to be an amazing game without a doubt but i'm ready for something like LBP more.

Your question is actually answerable. There is hype for Resistance 2 because it's a sequal to one of the best selling games for Sony so far. As for LBP, I didn't know so many people above 13 like playing as little sack boys. As for levelling designs, I can see the potential. However I'm not the type to sit and think about how to make something I'll actually enjoy playing, and at the same time challenge other players. After all, it's not like the level designing is extremely complex, put a few blocks down, a drawbridge maybe a pit of water and a moving staircase all in order to reach an item. I would get bored after 5 minutes.
