If your PS3 broke what would you do

I would definetly cry, and throw some stuff.

• Back up your data every week or so. Saves you from the loss of data if your system died.
• You wouldn't lose trophies because they are tied to your PSN ID.

As for me, I would do the reasonable thing and call Sony to get it repaired.

This happened to me just 2 months ago and i backed up my saved data plus the trophies dont dissapear so that's cool. BUT after playing SFIV and KZ2 Extensively on afriends PS3 and then wanting to save it to another one I noticed that the Saved Data is "Prohibited" from being Copied! WTFF!??

mine broke last week, I almost cry lol, it stop reading disc. I live in Peru so it's not easy for me to just call sony, but there are some centers authorized by sony to repair. My PS3 is there since last monday.

It has happened and i do not have the money for repairs. So I have just been playing a lot of last gen games on XBOX and PS2. I plan on getting it fixed as soon as I have the money. If its not by the time god of war III comes out then i probably will cry.mattykovax

Repair or buy new one. I back up my save data so I don't worry about those things :)

Can you back up your saved data on a USB thumb drive? I've got a 8GB thumb drive and I started to move everything off of it, so I could back up my saves, but I'm not even sure if you can use one of those to do that...

the ps3 not reading disc's is a 10 dollar fix screw calling sony, and loosing your machine. now if your machine is still coverd that's a different story. but if your not covered , go online buy the part, look at how to take top off machine plug in new laser presto fixed!

My mates PS3 broke and he phoned this repair place and they did it for free with no insurance. I'd be very annoyed but I took out a 3 year insurance plan on my PS3 so wouldn't be too bad.

Cry, run to my mom and dad and say "My PS3 died!!!:cry:" And also see if I can get it repaired.

If i didnt have the warranty still and playstation would charge me to replace it i would just buy a brand new one with an extended warranty and sell the broken one on ebay.

I would play either the computer or xbox 360

It has before, stopped reading discs, my warranty was up so i just fixed it myself

I'd send it in and probly play my 360, it's nice having other consoles

use the warranty that i got from the store ( 3years plan )

Its happend to me too the first time one of my Ps3's broke i got mad stomped round for a bit went for a drive took in some air from the other side of my island then called sony and got a free replacement (wohoo) the 2nd time i just called sony, ive come a long way.

Yeah the BD laser burnt out, so i bought a new one online, it wasnt too hard to replace, just a lot of little screws you gotta remember where they go.
