IGN US Gives Heavenly Sword A 7/10. Are You Still Gonna Buy The Game?

Seeing now that this was already posted, Ill just ask, is anyone suprised by this score, or did you see it coming? Are you still gonna buy the game?

Well i don't see how NGS, DMC or GoW have more lasting appeal. NGS has a leader-boards but who gives a crap except those that are really good players, but the other two have nothing more then just a harder difficulty or a new way to fight.

but i don't care because i like these type of games and im buying it :P

IGN doesn't seem to be very fond of repetitive action games.

Which explains why Godhand recieved 3.0

Not to mention the same person who gave Godhand 3.0 was the one who reviewed Heavenly Sword.

I'd say he isn't the person to trust when it comes to action game.

The OTHER scores for this game were, 10,9,9,8.5. I might be missing one but whatever..heyheydoh

No but people like to post the bad new more then the good news. This game isn't going to appeal to everybody, just like most

action game. And i guess this one didn't appeal to that journalist.

Though the game was really good in terms of graphics and its motion capture,I already knew the game was going to get a low rating. The combat system really needs to be polished. To be honest, when I was playing the demoI felt like I was playing a dynasty warriors game. I am serious. But I can't really judge the game byits demo. Well as long as peoplelike the game for its story and graphics its still um ok right...Flavante

This is far from button masher like Dynasty Warrior.

Well lets see. Umm other reviews 9.0-9.8,I loved the demo, this is one of the gamesthat got meto buy the PS3, the game looks awesome, and swords are my favorite weapon in video games.

Yes I am gonna but it...2 reasons.

1. Gameplay looks fun

2. Story sounds cool

Why is 7 a bad score now? 5 is average. A 7 would mean the game is fun...

I am not supprised. The demo put me off the game the second I started playing it. If they had stuck to a GoW style battle system instead of their "ohhh we are trying to be an action movie" crap, it would have fared much better. Not to mention it should have had a jump button. Standing around waiting for 30 seconds for an enemy to attack so I can do some "flashy" counter attack doesn't work for me. I may hire the game when it comes out but it certainly wont be in my collectionaustin_is_god

Ummm... Just attack untill they attack. And I am glad they set themselfs apart from GoW. I dont want every action game to be alike. Though I wouldnt mind a jump button... Eh I'll live.

Right? What is right? Some people will enjoy a game that gets 3/10 by a journalist. So please explain yourself what is right?

Critics suck anyway they said 300 was bad, Transformers was bad and the Passion but the public loved them.

That's exactly it. reviews SHOULDN'T be matter of opinion.

What it should be is objective analysis of the game and judgement of the quality. Not some random person's opinion. I can get that from my friend or just posting in this forum.

The fact that IGN reviewer even says his reviews are his opinion and everyone should just not take it so seriously (on his blog about Godhand review) that alone makes me unable to trust his review.

Did you guys not watch the review or read it...they said the game IS REPETITIVE and ONLY 6 HOURS...WTF!! I guess you have to see for yourself, then you'll be saying OMG IGN was right all the time...I knew this would be the case from the beggining, I won't be getting this game now..it's garbage. The only thing that really interest me with this game was the serpent lady and the other characters...now I see that it really doesn't go any further than that, I'm very disappointed as I had high hopes for this game.gamer082009

Repetitive? I don't see that as negative. It is action game and combat system should be the focus of the game.

6 hours that is bit of a hit, but that shouldn't hit on gameplay part of the review, but value of the game.

Also you forget to meantion that IGN have stated combat system is great.
