I'm seriously considering buying a ps3, but the lack of exclusives dissappoints me. yeah sure there are some coming out next year (MGS4, FFXIII), but like i said, that's next year.

anyways, the 360 is great and all, but im looking for something different. im tired of playing FPS games.

what are some games out now that are worth buying a ps3 for? or are there any at all?

Ratchet and Clank is a really fun platform game. It's a nice change of pace from FPS's, which I am getting sick of.

Right now there are 2 PS3 exclusive games that are absolute must haves in my opinion.

1. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction

2. Uncharted Drake's Fortune

These games are action/adventure/platformer games that flaunt ridiculously good graphics, interesting storylines, a great sense of humor, and absolutely rock solid gameplay. Both games are an absolute joy to play and odds are, both will make you laugh at some point (R&C in particular). The thing I like about PlayStation is that it has a better variety of games and has the action, adventure, and RPG's that I love. It also helps that the hardware is powerful enough to run high end shooters now. Previously Xbox would be my shooter console and PS2 would be my console of choice for action-adventure games and RPG's.

There is a REALLY strong lineup of PS3 exclusives next year. As far as I'm concerned, Metal Gear Solid 4 is reason enough. Then again, I LOVE Metal Gear Solid...

Also, if you have a nice HDTV, the added Blu-Ray player doesn't hurt at all.

Oh, I forgot to add Warhawk. It is a fantastic online game that I can't seem to get enough of. I absolutely love the game to death.

Free online and built in Wi-Fi are nice added bonuses too. Although I can't argue that Xbox Live is still the superior online service.

Finally, last but not least, the hardware is FAR SUPERIOR. After you have a PS3, the 360 just feels like a little kid's toy in comparison. I think the majority of owners ofboth consoles will agree.

MGS, FF, Blu-Ray (especially now that companies are getting the technology to make 100GB blu-rays play on normal blu-ray with a firmware update)

Ratchet And Clank Future: Tools Of Destruction, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, MotorStorm, Resistance: Fall Of Man, Folklore, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Lair(a great game despite all the negative reviews) I have heard Warhawk is a great exclusive, but I haven't bought it because online only games don't appeal to me. Then of course there are the future exclusives like Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Haze, Resistance 2, MotorStorm 2, White Knight Story, the next Finaly Fantasy,Socom: Confrontation(another online only game that I will likely pass but will probably still be good). There are more, but those are the only one's I could think of off the top of my head.

Within the next few months there will be a bunch of games coming out, also if you can find a 60 gig ps3 or just get the 80 gig version you can go back and play some of the PS2 games that you may have never played for some reason or another.

This would give you the best of the past, present, and future in gaming.

I own both and prefer the 360 over the PS3 as of right now, but if you have a big list of PS2 games to play, then that's one reason. Also, there are some pretty good games like Heavenly Sword and Folklore out right now, and PAIN (I cannot wait to play it this afternoon). But next year we get MGS4 on the PS3, Final Fantasy XIII and Vs. White Knight Story, Star Ocean 4 (if you can't tell I'm quite an RPG fan), and then the standard multiplats that the 360 gets.

In the end I need all 3 systems really to play all the games I want, and short of a unified console, this is the only alternative.

P.S. Warhawk SUCKS.

Next year should be ace. The huge RPG battle of PS3 FF 13 against the 360 exclusive Infinite undiscovery.

honestly there is no compelling reasons to get a ps3 atm, wait til games you want to play to come out first before getting the console, buy it to play, not to wait

uncharted is my favorite game of the year i would recommend getting a ps3 just for that and wait out for better games. otherwise i'd say just wait on getting the ps3 by the time mgs and ffxiii come out it will most likely be cheaper and come with the dualshock. good things come to those that wait, but uncharted is amazing and if you have any interest in it at all i would say get a ps3 and get that game lol (im 90 percent sure you want be disappointed with either).

WARHAWK! WARHAWK! WARHAWK! And of course Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank. But if you are seriously not interested in any of the PS3 games this year, no point buying 1. Buy it next year, as next year's PS3 games lineup is really very very strong. It's the strongest among the 3 next-gen consoles actually.

Yea, the PS3 should have a strong year this coming year. 2007 was clearly Xbox 360, the PS3 I'm willing to be dominates 2008. Not that Microsoft won't have anything to offer, but we will see a reversal this year.
Warhawk still sucks
Exactly. If I didn't want anything on the PS3 for instance, I wouldn't have bought it. But I do, so I have it. Simple solution. (Yea I know, not everyone has money, but then that's a different issue).

It's better to have all three then you can play FF13 (PS3), Infinite undiscovery (360) and FF:CC (Wii) Next years gonna take up alot of my time.
