Practice? I was terrible at COD 4 at first but i kept playing it and playing it and i like to consider myself respectable at this point.

just keep playing.. i have had it for a littl eover a month now and am only starting to get good.. it has a steep learning curve, but once you start getting good at it, its definitely a rewarding and extremely fun experience..

make sure you know how to lock onto things.. changed my gameplay dramatically. by the way, i like this even more than cod4 right now.. i hope there will be more expansions soon..

I got good at it pretty fast. I will add you to PSN and open up a game where we can practice. As long as you have a headset, anyway.

Try out different strategies and see which ones work for you. everyone is different. dont try and copy the enemy because then they will know your every move. keep at it bud!

Oh and just a short list of really helpful things.

Lock on. ALWAYS carry chafe. Fly low to the ground and near mountains whenever possible. Use stealth as often as possible. Know where all the pickups are and all of the enemy weapons. If you know where the TOW missile is kept, and you know which turret that dingleberry is camping, put two and two together and explode him into tiny little pieces.

Seriously, i'd rather not die than get a kill. Fly away and come back, theres always kills to get, but if you die you die, cant get it back. Keep plenty of chaff and use them

I dont play anymore but when i did i used to get 20-30 kills a game and 2-4 deaths.

One time i went 60 kills wthout dying over two games. I went 54-0 one round and 16-0 the next, before I died at the end

All you need is time, patience and practice.

Learn the maps and Kill everything that isn't you!!! Just kidding....Most of the tips so far are pretty good so I can't add to much more that hasn't already been said.:)

If you're not great at Warhawk, I'd recommend staying out of the skies: all the best players seem to fly the planes. What I do is grab a portable missile launcher or get in the AA or homing missile turrets. That way, you get a fair amount of Team Points even if you don't necessarily get loads of kills.

When on foot never stay in a single space too long. There are always those people that are waiting for someone to camp somewhere and take em out. Always expect someone to be trying to sneak up on you. If you overtake an opposeing base there are usually one or two people waiting for the right time to strike.

When in a missle turret sometimes you can only get one good lock on, shoot, and then get out otherwise you'll get blown up.

Heres a BIG ONE

When on foot always have ur knife out ( unless your in a gun fight obviously)

You dont show up on radar with your knife out

maybe because you play with the top players in the whole game?

Ground tips:

The rifle is your friend. Learn the nuances of the auto aim on it and you will do well.

Also, grenades are your best friend. Use them to manipulate where your enemies run.

Run laterally when in a fire fight with an enemy. Dont run directly towards or away from them, that makes rifle auto aim that much easier.

Mine like crazy! Learn where the mines are on every map and get them! Plant them near your flag or better yet at bases so when enemies come to take that zone, boooom... you got an easy kill and had to do nothing.

Tanks rule! They will destroy most ground troops and jeeps very easily, use them

Focus on getting team points. I consistently get in the top 3 point scorers in all games I play... why? cause i just go from zone to zone making sure I capture them. If you capture a zone and you see an enemy come to recapture it, let them! just run, hide wait for them to capture it then come back and recapture it when they are gone. You can camp at the flag or constantly go for the enemies flag too, but i find camping no fun and trying to get the enemy flag all the time just ramps up your deaths.

Air Tips:

Tap your machine guns and fire in spurts when enemy is in your sites, your gun wont overheat then. There i s a subtle auto aim too, use it.

Your two best friends in a warhawk are Chaffs and the Stealth weapon. Use either and always gather plenty of both!

When locking on with the missiles, lock on with only one missile and then fire so the enemy uses their chaff. Then immediately lock on and fire with more missles. They have a time period between chaffs, exploit this.

Use air mines. They get you free kills when you learn to place them

When landing in an enemy zone, fire your guns and launch a few missles near the capture post to destroy any potential mines that will kill you when you land.

Well for me I stay away from flying bc I suck at it. My suggestion is to learn the maps, find the weapons you need and learn how to use them in the right situation. For example, if a tank keeps owning infantry use rocket launcher, or flamethrower w/ grenades to take him down. Another way to rack up points is to find mines and place them strategically but not too close together. jyoung312

Here's a good one. If you face a tank, and you don't have any big weapon to take it out, try jump on top of it and shoot with it with your pistol.

You probably won't be able to kill the tank with the pistol, but you will:

1. stay alive a lot longer than if you would just run away

2. Irritate the heck out of the tank driver, sometimes you will be so irritating that the tank driver will come out of the tank, and that's your chance to take the tank.

3. You might live long enough for someone else to come and rescue you.
