Thats for sure. I have an Xbox 360 and a Wii and theyre both great but last time, I wore out the ps2 and loved it so with the release of Metal Gear Solid 4 coming up Im gonna get one for myself. The question is, should i get a 40 gig. now with a dualshock 2 for 399.99? Or save my money a good while longer and get the 80 gig. Dualshock 3 MGS4 pack coming out later on this year? Ive got the money for a 40 gig now but i dont know if i should save longer for the other one... Suggestions?

well........my logic here tells me that you only want ps3 for metal gear solid 4 and thats not released yet.........so whats the point of getting it now

but......i know from experience that when i wanted a ps3 and i had money for it i didnt even want to wait a day to buy it because i just wanted it right away

I didn't want to start a new topicincase I overlooked where this should go, but anyways I'll post it here.

I bought the 40 GB PS3, the one that does not play PS2 games.

I want to get it hooked up to the internet. I know an ethernet cable can do that but I have heard that the 40 GB has a wireless connection. So my question is how do I get it online? Do I need an ethernet cable or do I want to do it wirelessly? IfWhatever the answer is please walk me through it like I am 4 years old. I am good at setting systems up but when it comes to hooking them up online I am clueless.

Thanks!!!

Get the PS3 80GB with MotorStorm. Then throw down a pre-order for GTAIV and MSG4!

I strongly recommend you to buy the 80gig PS3! First of all, the 80gig has the SD cards so you can put in for example the memory stick duo from the PSP and transfer musics and other things. It also has backward capability with PS2 games, the 40gig doesnt have those two features. I got my 60gig for $500 and it has all the features of the 80gig.

Go for the 80gig PS3 even though its $100 more, its worth it.

Could you explain? If it was that simple, wouldn't it defeat the purpose of buying the 80 gb? Also, the 80GB have backwards compatibility with all, most, or some ps2 games?
