I'm confused about Final Fantasy VERSUS XIII

Is it a spin-off of the upcoming FFXIII?

Or is it a crossover game between Final Fantasy against XIII?

Did Squaresoft ever release a game called XIII?

Final Fantasy XIII is the main game featuring "Lightning" (lady with cape kicking @$$ and taking everyone's name). It will use a fast paced ATB type battle system

Final Fantasy Versus XIII is somewhat of a "side-game" of the main XIII game, but takes place in the same universe, featuring the "Prince" (guy who also kicks @$$ and takes names) It will supposidly play like Kingdom Hearts.

Its a seperate game from the same universe of FFXIII

It is being made by the people who made Kingdom Hearts

nope,don't let the word "Versus" fool you it doesn't mean VS as against something, it's written in Latin, i have no idea what it means though.

ahem they're now called SquareEnix not square soft, and no they didn't make a game called XIII, they just used it to make it tie to the real FFXIII, and it's like Dirge of Cerberus.

it's Action-RPG the guy who is working on it is the same guy that worked on the KH series , and he said that we should imagine the game play a lot more smilier to KH, Button mashing that is:D.

shame there still not called squaresoft there games have taken a dip in quality since merginging with Enix.
