no excuse..im a huge football player and theres no excuse for the ps3 to only run at 30fps. This is next gen and im sick of framerate problems. you say framerate probs like its every single game, and if you can justify 400$ just to play a madden series thats gotten worse over the last few years then go ahead. somehow i dont see how your hard feelings can be blamed just on Football game

You do know that the fps has nothing to do with framerate issues. In that article from 1up you posted in the other topic they state that they both run smooth on their respective consoles. A lower fps does not mean it will suffer from framerate issues.

You do know that the fps has nothing to do with framerate issues. In that article from 1up you posted in the other topic they state that they both run smooth on their respective consoles. A lower fps does not mean it will suffer from framerate issues.

No need to whine to us about it, go cry elsewheres.

Two Problems with this thread:

First, why is it's Sony's fault when a third-party developer screws the pooch. They have to step up and make their own game.

And second, why tell us? Seriously, who cares if this one sports fanatic that we don't even know decides tobuy another console.

I have both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. I wouldn't trade either one in as they both have their merits. I don't know that the PS3 version of football has EXCESSIVE framerate issues. Unless you were planning on getting the 360 to go WITH your Playstation 3, I sure wouldn't toss the baby out with the bathwater. The PS3 is a great system and though it doesn't have as many stellar games as the 360 yet, it definately has a lot going for it.

They're both great systems and I think you would regret getting rid of the PS3 in the long term.

It's a free world, do whatever you like...... Im playing PS2 games on my PS3 alot online and offline, if I want, I can get NFLPS2 games and I save some money. I personaly do not pay attention to that 60FPS. also, I save $50 a year playing my PSgames online.

dude.......both madden 06 and 07 for 360 ran at 30fps....the problem with the ps3 version of 07 is that they forced it to run at 60fps when they didnt have the tools to do so....so running at 30fps isnt bad, this will allow for the game to smooth up some on the ps3.

Im gonna laugh if forcing the 360 version to 60fps makes to jaggy and choppy

LOL. So you dont play madden but you're getting a 360 because of Madden......I'm guessing you think the 360 is the only system that can run it at 60 fps? It's a failure to strive on EA's part, not Sonys. The ps3 is more than capable of producing 60 fps (see their new full hd line-up).
