I'm hearing funny noises from my PS3 - HELP

When I turn off the PS3, I hear a loud CRACKING sound. Sometimes I also hear a WHIRRING sound, like a camera, WHIR.


And also, I could have sworn I heard a voice coming from the PS3 wihich said "Kill the liberals" and "Feed me a stray cat".

Should I call Sony about this?

Mine does the whirring sound when I turn it off but only when it's hot.
