3000 is the best model for new comers, better bright screen, better battery life, less glare screen. I recommend this bundle.

^^ yeah get that bundle. It has everything you need except a usb data cable for transfering files form pc to psp. With that bundle you get a 4gb and a psp case. Not bad plus the awesome game.

OK I think you should wait for e3 in case that there is a new PSP coming. I dont really think there will be a new PSP but it cant hurt to wait just for a little bit to wether or not there is a PSP2. If there isnt a new PSP announced then get a psp 3000, DO NOT get the PSP GO

well first I would like to applaud you for getting rid of your toy and getting an actual portable console. I recommend you get the the psp3000 (as MOST people on here will say). I wouldnt wait until E3. They will probably not announce anything coming soon (the psp2 is just a myth/rumor, not likely). For $529, you should be able to get a ton of psp games too. I recommend you spread it out over time because psp games drop in price after they've been out for a while. First id recommend you get a psp3000 and a hardshell case (logitec or something) to keep it clean and scratch free. also get a screen protector and put it on the first day. Next get a memory stick off Amazon.com or something (you should be able to find one for around $25 or so, id recommend at least 4gb, maybe an 8gb stick), then start buying some games. the psp has a great selection of games. you should really download some demos off the playstation store (using mediaGo on your computer, or directly using your psp). i'd try out God of War, Wipeout pulse, Secret agent Clank, Socom, Flatout and a ton more. Those games are great demos that will show you how good the full version is. Good luck.

I can't believe you sold your DSi.

You'll regret it soon, unless all of your 30 games are full of shovelware.

And wait, DSi + 30 games for $529. GameSpot got it cheap. 30 games x $14.99 for each (estimated) = $450 + DSi ($140 estimated) = $590. Also, there might be some games that are of $20 value. So yeah, you lost about $100 selling it to GameStop. Should've eBay-ed them all.

Thank you everybody, i'm going to wait for e3 and then get the peacewalker bundle with the psp3000 if nothing is announced. And to the last guy, ebay takes like $10 to list and paypal also takes a cut so, its much easier to just go to gamestop.

I have a GO and I will say dont get the GO if you can pretty much not have to buy another game for quite some time with your credit. I think you should definetely get a bundle. Which one depends on your preference.
Also may i suggest getting a console with the much credit? 360 or ps3, some acessories, and games and you would still have credit left over.

Yes, because it's better as a multimedia appliance than a handheld... Can't believe you sold your DS for a PSP, but welcome nonetheless. I'd get a 3000 whatever the outcome. A new maybe announced platform will 1) take some time to come out and 2) be expensive and 3) not have many new games for it. Well, if it's not backwards compatible at least.

I really don't think a PSP 2 will be announced at E3. They just announced that new PSP GO owners who register the system from June 1 to march 2011 willl receive a three free games vouncher, the Meatal Gear bundle will arrives on the 8 of this month plus they announced another bundle for kindom hearths that will be availabe at the same $199.99 price on late september.

You can choose to wait until e3 or buy a 3000 if you can't wait.

its not gonna be out this year if there is one announced. i see it being a more summer next year release date. and if a psp 2 isnt announced most likely there will be the psp 4000 that will have fone capabilities..just my oppinion. On topic anyway the 3000 is the best i just was playing my sisters with modnationracers. quite amazing game for custom made user content

Well Tomorrow ( or basically today lol) I will be buying a PSP 3000 with the folowing games:

-Metal Gear Solid : Peace Walker

-Resistance Retribution

-Motorstorm Arctic Edge

-Socom Fireteam Bravo 3

-Mortal Kombat Unchained

and a few MiNis to go along with that lol.

I also have a PS3 already regarding an above post. If there is a new psp and it supports UMDs i'll simply return the one i bought when the new one is released, and use that credit with a little cash to purchase the new system.

THANKS everybody for posting in here with suggestions.
