I'm not happy about the September announcement....

I know it's just an unofficial blog, but what was said for the PS3 for the month of September I believe is bad news. I mean, it's good to hear Killzone 2 and Ratchet will be out that month, and Warhawk, but seriously, why are we waiting till September for Heavenly Sword and Lair? What happened to May...July 31? And don't be expecting MGS4 any time before November 2007, at least that's what the majority's opinion is.

So what does that leave us? Well, we get Ninja Gaiden: Sigma in June and.....The Darkness? No wait, that's also not exclusive. I didn't buy the PS3 to play games on all other systems, I got the thing for all of Sony's killer exclusives it had on PS2, and lined up for PS3. Personally, I'm kind of pissed about this announcement. Anyone else?

Yeah Sept is a long time dude, especially when all we've got is crappi Ubisoft ports. Heavenlly Sword and Lair should aready be done why wait so long it's like Sony doesn't want the PS3 to sell. From now until Sept we have a few nasty Ubi ports, some more FPS that we can get on PC, remind us why we bought a PS3 again?
Sony's gotta step up, cause if I wanted poor PC and Xbox ports with low frame rare and abd lighting I would have stuck with my PC, we all bought the system for Sony exclusives they shouldn't hold back so long. Hell even on the back of the box of the PS3 they show Lair and Heavenly sword, yet it's been like 5v months now and still no game.  

Dude theres no way there going to release all of that in 1 month. From a business stand point its horrible. Unless they have something up there sleasve.fuman3

Dude did you even read the article on GS? it says that is a semi official blog for Sony EUROPE...unless you live in Europe Lair and heavenly Sword will be arriving a little bit early..like MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE...Charlie2688

Give me a release date, anything that can prove to me that I can rely on Sony to actually carry out their plans for North American releases eh? This games aren't going to be internationally segmented, they're going to get launched worldwide.

Well, the blog is pretty much "this is what going to happend, semi-offical", since it's run by sony, but I was dissapointed that EVERYTHING comes in september, will be a dry summer with execeptions with lair...njpj

We just need to sit back and wait. Who knows if this will pan out all I know is if this is true I will be broke because theirs still Uncharted, AC, GTA, I have to buy.

You can't bury Halo. Unless number 3 just blows, it's always going to have a fan base that Sony can never steal because, quite frankly, they're the ultimate MS Fanboys and will never leave the XBOX's grasp.

If you think logicaly, you can see that it is possible to eclipse ANY games's hype. Of course, you have to do it right, but thats the difficult of such things. Anyway, like someone already said, from a commercial stand point, it would be ridiculous to launch all big hiters at once whitout a good reason/good plan. Lair, Heavenly Sword and the new Killzone are demonstrations of PS3 power and capacity. It would be wiser to release them in diferend dates to create hype for the console. For months, and not a hype that is created to die fast.

Release one of them in one month, the other in the next, or 45 days later and so on. Make you buyers enjoy their games and tell their friends, that will end up buying the console and so on. Thats the purpose of hypeing a game, to make people get hot and excited about it.

So, until an official release date, I will take this unnoficial statement as it is: unnoficial.

Ps-I do know that X360 users would know about the release of its flagship game of this year, but if every body else was hypeing another game (and therefore, paying more atention to it/them and not on Halo 3), the purpose of the main Halo 3 hype would suffer immensely. Games like Halo are taken as 'system sellers', but if only the installed base is buying it, it loses its main point to be. That may be the reason for trowing such big games out at the same time.

Too far away for Warhawk and Lair.

 Killzone 2 I can understand.  I want them to take their time with it, I've got somewhat high hopes for the game.

Fill a dual layer Blu-ray, make the campaign 40 hours long, split-screen multiplayer, free online, hundreds of maps, great music, voice acting, story. Make it memorable, not just pretty good. XL83

Making the game longer won't fix the problem if it plays anything like the original Killzone.  That'd just make it more tedious and boring.  Instead they should just be focusing on the important things, and that's providing us with an actually fun shooting experience.

Great music and good dialogue is nice and all, but if the game is boring then I simply won't care to play it.  The original Killzone had a whole lot of potential, but in the end the game just seemed rushed at some points.  So if it takes them longer to get it right, I say go ahead.  I can wait.

I think there is some truth to this news, but I don't expect all 5 games to be released just in September. Sony will probably spread these releases out a bit to build hype for the PS3 before Christmas.

I think Heavenly Sword and Lair will be released in September, Warhawk and Ratchet & Clank in October, and then Killzone in November to counter Halo 3. Plus, probably in September or October, we will see a small price cut for the PS3 to get more Christmas sales.

I figured July would be it for Lair. I knew it was near done but was receiving not enough attention from Sony advertising and information wise for it to make a May release. July is a perfect time for it to release.

hmm....another 7 years before those games come out then...probably about the same time that alan wake will come out...and duke nukem forever.
