Im now worried about GTAIV's graphics

The two new screenshots look horrible.

Im thinking, these were released by Rockstar right before the new trailer to sort of get us prepared for crappy graphical quality. I thought the first trailer looked alright, but we didn't see much upclose. I mean you can see the steering wheel isn't even round. Its got large edges!

These pics are a bad sign.

I don't know, GTA has always been about gameplay so i'm sure the game will still be lots of fun.

As for the graphics seen on those pics, i'm really not surprised. Since this game was announced to the other console i was expecting this. DVD9 can only take you so far. I'm not saying the other console is not capable of great graphics, they are and they have proven it, but the lack of space may have made the developers of GTA IV cut back on graphics to have enough room for all the other stuff.

Im not expecting GREAT graphics from GTA, since the others didnt really match up to PS2 quality, they were alright though.

I expect better than those crap screenshots though.

People need to also realize that those aren't gameplay screens. They simply images which R* is notorious for trying to make look cartoony and give a different feel from reality to.

Let's wait to see the trailer before we jump to conclusions, because even Niko's face in that pic looks far different from the past trailer.

I wonder if there weren't other games out there that followed the GTA formula...if people would be more excited about this game.

Anyways, I am not worried about the graphics. I think they are looking pretty good. If the gameplay is great and the story interesting, I can wait for GTA: The Windy City *nota real game* will be bigger and better, like vice city was to GTA III and San Andreas was to Vice City.

I look forward to GTAIV! :D

I also think the driving one is just a particularly bad example, and I have no doubts that this game will play, and look great...

Don't those look just like the stuff we've seen all along so far?

I am confused...I've watched both trailers now like 10 times. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the visuals. GTA isa huge open city, with alot of animations, details to NPCS, bullet holes in windows, cars, anda what seems to be living breathing world. Its nota FPS, a fighting game, or a level adventure. I think GTA graphics are great! Like I said before, I look forward to see what Rockstar has for us next.
