Im on the edge of buying.....

I am currently a pround 360 owner and am not looking to replace my 360 but I am looking to be someone who can say they own both a 360 and a PS3. I am on the edge of buying a PS3 to add to my collections but I am wondering is it worth the 300 dollars and also I seen this clip

Has home improved at all since this clip since it was posted in 2008? Please tell me a little about the PS3, I am just seeing if the system is for me. I appreciate it everyone. Thank you

experiment on your friends who have PS3....if you want to play or think to buy....than watching on youtube or something...(its really infested of fanboys even there)

Well I recently took the plunge and bought a 160GB phatty. I'm really happy with it at the moment and eagerly looking forward to God of War 3 and Uncharted 2. I wish there would be more exclusive titles for it but I'm pretty confident they will come eventually. After trying out the KZ2 and Uncharted demos both titles became insta-buys for me. The Blu-ray playback is a nice addition too :)

PS: MGS4 is epic as ****.

Edit: Haven't tried Home yet, not really interested.

HOME will soon get "THE" update that allows you to start any game from Home, thus making it a real gamer community ; I don't even know which game could be started from Home now, but now you'll be able to jump in any Saints Row 2, Killzone 2, Tiger Woods ...

Now Home is more or less a second life clone, where people walk from one place to another (OK I haven't been there since Resident evil, Buzz and other things have come), maybe play a little game, and try to chat (don't even try if you don't have a keyboard). If you like customizing, it can still be an occupation (character or flat). One good point is the "clubs", you can find almost anything in it, but everytime I went to the club noone was there.

I use to own both consles (360,PS3) but i sold my 360 4 months after the purchase of my ps3 because i do not respect microsoft at all. I mean i personally think they are just to greedy... when i saw the prices on the games on demand thing i was furious with rage knowing that MS only cares about money. i got sick of paying for Xbox live when i started to buy more and more of my games for the ps3. you can even add me on xbox my gamertag was melpoe and i have 37k gamerscore so FOR ME PERSONALLY i perfer what the ps3 has to offer in game exclusives plus blu-ray movies.

So you want to know if you should buy a ps3 or not? Well look at your xbox and see how many exclusives it has that you love, Now look at exclusives you would want for the ps3. Now see which has more that appeals to you. PS3 has all the games i was going topurchase for the 360 plus alot of exclusives

(Demon's Souls,Heavy Rain,God Of War3 ect..) Im not a halo fan or gears fan, and mass effect was not that good imo.

So there you have it YOU are the only one that can tell if you should buy a ps3 or not do some research and im sure you will find reasons why you would love to be a PS3 owner.

And im not bashing the Xbox 360, the Xbox is a great gaming consle its just microsoft are bad parents.. ^_^

a buddy of mine jumped ship from 360 to PS3 and he hasnt regretted it.

but free online beats having to pay money for live. thats my personal opinion.

1 million sold in 3 weeks, price drop or not that is impressive. I'll say I don't regret buying my PS3 and do regret buying an elite. MLB The Show is by far the best sports game out. MGS4 is just amazing and I've not played the previous ones. This is my first Sony console and will be sticking with Sony from now on. I think if you do decide to get one you'll be wondering ( Like I stilll do ) where people come up with all the negativity twords the PS3. I was hesitant before buying it and looking back I wish I had done it sooner ( although it was nice to pick up older titles for cheap, like now MGS4 $30 is a steal, Killzone 2 will be $30 in November and a number of other titles like Uncharted). My personal favorite feature is Region Free Games, I just love importing I guess LOL.

both of them are great consoles BUT ps3 has (or will have) more and better exclusives in my taste at least. the con is that i think that in most multiplatform games xbox360 has better graphics (check dead space or gta4 or soul calibour) where it should not , it is all the programmers fault. also ps3 has movement controls which may seem as a gimmick but it is implemented in a cool way in games (like uncharted or kz2). ps3 has prototype and inFamous which is a win imo.

one con is the lack of mass effect though which i am very sad.

now about you , were i you i d buy a ps3 if i could afford it just for exclusive games. uncharted 1&2 , inFamous, Kz2(though i did not like it), mgs4(though i did not like it either!!!!), resistance , god of war (instant epic action), and more which are coming..

i forgot little big panet, which offers longlasting gameplay cause of the 1.000.000++ levels available online .

Also if I get it what game should I get with it? Kill Zone 2 or Resistance 2?hkymike

Its a good investment and yes home as improved alot since then. I used to own a 360 until I brought a PS3.
