i bought my psp last august... a month later i sent it to sony to get repaired... it's been fine ever since... but the new psp fixes most of my problems:

the load times

the size of the system(obviously)

and

It is going to be able to connect to the tv to play games at home on the "big screen"

I'm not breaking down over it. The only thing I really want from this new PSP is its connection to the TV; that'll be awesome. Everything else is... whatever. Although I do hate this black system color; it's too easy for fingerprints to show up.Speeker_Boxx

I agree with you completely, although I actually was pretty bummed about it at first because I just got my psp a couple of months ago.

Good lord; I hope you never buy a TV, computer, car or anything made by Apple, because you will be positively LIVID when improvements happen in those devices and you don't get a free upgrade.xaos

So true. I think especially with buying a computer. You spend thousands, and as soon as you do, something newer and/or faster is announced.

What the OP doesn't understand is that we're not forced to upgrade. your old psp will not stop working. if you really feel the need to upgrade to the newer model, go ahead. you don't have to, and you certainly shouldn't be angry at Sony for improving on their product.

Stop complaining, god... the same thing happened to the DS with the DS lite, to the GBA with GBA SD and GBA micro, the same thing happened to all the ipods, mp3 players, TV, cars, radios, you name it

I remember getting my psp ages ago...if you knew about the slim one would you of been willing to wait all this time for it?

I'm also fed up with this old situation. Thankfully I've never bought a Gameboy or DS. I could't have managed to buy every season a new hardware.I don't understand why Sonydoes not commit more money in developing new games or concepts. A new design will not change the economic situation, but new games will.

well I bought my PSP on the first day it came out in the US (March 24, 2005)

so no regrets!!!

The thing about nintendo's ds redesign that made it worth it was that well.....we all have to admit it, the ds "phat" as some people are calling it was just ugly, and everyone know's it, the ds lite vs the old ds in looks is like Pamela Anderson vs Rosie O' Donnel.

The psp on the other hand, was not ugly, it looked good, and it still looks good, the psp slim, looks the same, it's lighter yeah and theres tv output, but all i can say to that is...meh

I don't think i'll be buying the slim unless eb games gives me a DECENT discount for trading in my old psp...witch they just might.

PS. I don't want any of you ds phat fans giving me any bull about "the ds has 4x the graphical power" or "the ds lite breaks easily"

We all know that you just can't afford the new ds so you make up stupid excuses to convince yourself you don't need the ds lite

1.8 gigs buffed on to a large display...ya it's gona be like zooming in on something...(paint)

Seems to me like you're just trying to find all the areas of the slim PSP that are pretty significant/important and are trying to convince people that it's just a peice of crap, when it's not. And btw, I don't really care about the TV output for the slim either, I'm just telling you that it's not going to have bad quality on TV, they wouldn't make it if it did.
