PS3: more features, better hardware, reliable, expensive, weak current game selection, strong future game selection, bluray player, free online.
xbox 360: unreliable, better current game selection, decent future game selection, best online (though you have to pay for it), cheaper.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you. The future game line up for the 360 is alot more impressive in my opinnion. He should go and research the future line up's of both consoles and see which one he prefers.

Ithink PS3's line up is better imo.
PS3: Motorstorm, Lair, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Warhawk, Hot Shots Golf 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, Haze , Time Crisis 4, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Ratchet and Clank 5, and Heavenly Sword.
Xbox 360: Forza 2, Command and Conquer 3, Mass Effect, Crackdown, Bioshock, Halo 3, and Fable 2.
The PS3 is far more reliable than the 360, but both come with a standard 1-year warranty. However, once that year is up you're pretty much S.O.L. Based on the longevity of the systems alone, I'd have to recommend the PS3 over the 360. I bought my 360 in October and a PS3 in November, and even though the 360 has had a year for Microsoft to fix the hardware failure issues, the 360 still broke down while my launch PS3 is still going strong. If you've paid attention to forums and news sites you'll find that this is pretty much the norm.
Hardware issues aside, I think you should look at what games are coming out in the future for both systems and try to decide which ones you want more. Both systems have a lot of amazing titles already out and many more coming up for the holidays. For the best listing, check out the release date list for each system at IGN.com and try to see what you want most. As much as I like the 360, I'd take my PS3 over it any day (except maybe September 26th). You really do get a lot for $600 with the PS3, so try not to let the price tag scare you off (too much).
I'm also trying to decide if i should eat at Mcdonalds or Burger King. PLEASE SOMEBODY GIVE ME A LIST OF EXCLUSIVE COMBOS FOR EACH!junk56
Well you see you have the Big Mac at McDonalds compared to the Whopper at Burger King. While the big may appear to have more meat since its two sandwiches stacked on top of each other, you can't go wrong with the many varieties of whopper. Also, burger king's apple pies are far better than mcdonalds, but mcdonalds has the parfe.
HAHAHAHAHAHA talk about taking a joke too far
