IMPORTANT PS3 question..

ok so about the 5 games there giving us for free i was woundering i already own little big planet but if i download it any ways will my save data work in the download verson or will i have to start over, cause i want to download littlebig planet on my ps3 so i can sell the disk,but if my game data only works on the disk then i wont even download it,and if it does transfer my save data over, will it transfer my update data on it to( cause i dont want to do those 13 updates),thanks i want to know before i download it

I know this is a different game, but my friend started a file on Fallout 3 (regular) and when he picked up a greatest hits edition, the save file wouldn't work. So there is a chance it might not work because they are different versions, but I have no way of finding out.

when reading discs, my ps3 took a lot of time of it. the clock on the top-right keep tilting, and my ps3 bring an ejected noise inside (thought the disc wasn't ejected). eventualy the blue disc logo doesn't appeared on the xmb menu. is my optic lens having problem ? please respond, needed it seriously :(
