Impossible Trophies

Which games have you played and discovered that some of the trophies are impossible to attain? Which trophies in particular are they and what do they require? See this thread as a means of venting all that stored up anger caused by ludicrous trophy requirements with your fellow PS3 gamers!

EDIT: Please don't just say that the platinum trophy of a certain game is difficult to get because that doesn't tell us anything. In order to get the platinum trophy of a game, you must first get all the other trophies in a game. If you are having difficulties with a platinum trophy, then there is obviously a trophy or two in the game whose requirements are tedious. Tell us the game, the name of the trophy, and its requirements!

If you are having difficulties achieving the platinum trophy in Warhawk then there must a trophy that is hindering you from doing so. Don't be lazy, tell us which!

The first Battlefield Bad Company. There is a trophy for getting "all awards" which is a series of objectives you must do in the multiplayer. Ridiculously, for getting "all awards online" you are rewarded with a bronze trophy that's probably 10x harder than the silver trophy that's awarded for getting 10002 kills online. In my mind the "all awards" in Bad Company 1 is almost worthy of a platinum trophy just by itself. A really good player would probably take several hundred hours to get that bronze, but even then to actually get ALL awards there would be some element of luck. For example there is one award requiring you to kill 10 enemies with explosives in a single round. Is that a given even if you are a highly skilled player and play 500 hours? I'm not so sure it is. Of course I'm sure if someone were so inclined they could find a boosting partner, but to actually do some of those goals online is pretty crazy. This game is the type you'd probably have to play consistently for a year, and at that point if you were missing a few things you'd probably have to find a boosting partner.2Chalupas

Duck360 got that, he supposedly used three PS3 to get it.

After taking a look at the WKC trophies it would take forever to obtain all of them. Some of them are ridiculously time-consuming and just not worth it at all.

Aside from the time-consuming trophies I want to know which trophies are actually seemingly impossible to get. The kill 10 enemies with one explosion sounds tough. The complete the Killzone 2 campaign on elite difficulty was definitely an aggravating one to get.

There are really no impossible platinums to get, most of them are just time consuming. I'll say with a fact that the hardest are the pain trophies. I only have like 2 or 3 and gave up on the other ones. ExoticAnimal

The Fight Night Round 4 trophies are just insane. YOu have to get a belt for each of the three weight classes and only one person in the world can have each belt at a time. You have to play tons of hours to even get matched with a belt winner, even then you have to beat him, then you need to get the two other belts. In other words: unless you have every waking second devoted to getting those belts, it's impossible.

To my knowledge, only one person has all three belts, but not one person has the platinum.

• I am Bad Company! - (Online) Achieve all the awards

• There is no I in Squad - (Online) Have 20 Squad members spawn on you without dying in a single round

Some games have time consuming trophies. Battlefield: Bad Company has impossible trophies. The above two are ridiculous. The first one requires me to do stuff like kill five enemies within two seconds in a round or get fifty road kills with naval vehicles or spend five minutes as a driver in a vehicle with passengers. It is literally impossible to achieve those unless you ask a friend to help you out. To add insult to injury, it's only a bronze trophy. All the silver and gold trophies in the game are easier to attain.

Regarding the second trophy in question, I consider it impossible to even have ten people spawn on me without dying in a single round. I could sit around and wait while my team does all the work but not even that guarantees that enough people will spawn on me and I would rather be part of the action. I am also a pretty good player in my opinion and could definitely aid my team and I have tipped the balance in our favour numerous times now.

I think I will go for the last online trophy that I can get by spending a bit more time on it and then give the game a rest for a while. I hope Battlefield: Bad Company 2 doesn't have any ridiculous trophies like the ones I mentioned. That would drive me nuts.

A boosting partner is the only way to get all the awards. Literally, the only way. I am sure DICE didn't intend for people to help boost each other since that isn't the objective but they made two bronze trophies way too hard to achieve and there is no other way.

If your really despate, camp by your bomb site when your on defender and see a lot of ppl go and plant and camp at the bomb blow up the building..... (you did not get this idea from me....)

Hah, yeah. I took a look at them and said forget it. I have a hard enough time fighting against the AI, I doubt I could handle fighting online junkies.

The fact that I suck(I dont like the game that much, i prefet street fighter) makes it all the more harder.

Be assault, use a shotgun so you get C4 instead of a grenade launcher, then use the 2 perks that let you carry most explosives and do more explosive damage. Play rush and demolish the buildings with the M-COM stations in it. I have about 35 demolish kills and I got most of them either this way or by using the UAV.

Since you need to get all trophies to get the platinum trophy, which trophies in particular are giving you trouble? Telling us that the platinum trophies are hard to get doesn't tell us much.

Every fken game that involves online that lame they should not make online trophies or achievements wait till the servers are down or they

I edited the first post to clearly state that we don't want to know about platinum trophies since some of you are just giving one liners saying that the platinum trophy of a certain game is hard to attain. That doesn't tell us anything since every platinum trophy has the same requirements: get all the other trophies. If you are having difficulties with a platinum trophy, then there is obviously a trophy or two in the game whose requirements are tedious. Tell us which game, which trophy, and its requirements!

ninja gaiden sigma 2's team challenges are annoying, The horrible netcode sucks. I'm yet to find people who I can play with without any lagging. verbalfilth

This. I actually ran into a guy on Lost Planet 2 demo that had the platinum for NGS2. I was amazed

I'm gonna name 2 that seem ridiculously hard for downloadable games that you wouldn't expect. One's a Gold, so it's kind of understandable...but one's only a Bronze! The two in question?

• Fat Princess - "Gluteus Maximus" - Defeat all Gladiate arenas. (Bronze Trophy)
• Burn Zombie Burn! - "Friend of D6" - All Developer medals. (Gold Trophy)

Those 2 in particular are ridiculously hard because for the Fat Princess one you have to beat all Gladiate arenas. That's 12 waves of increasingly harder enemies that you have to beat with 5 different cl@sses...for a Bronze! :evil:

And the BZB one is crazy because some of the Developer scores you need to beat in order to get it are over 229 MILLION points! :o

I'm pretty good at the game and I can't touch that! Ehh, someday I'll get back to trying to get those two. I'll put them on the list with Platinums for Demon's Souls and Call Of Duty: World at War. :lol:

The Soldier of Misfortune trophy on Far Cry 2 which is fully upgrade all weapons - I'm not actually sure if it is possible to get the required kills with a flare pistol. I've never seen anyone with a platinum trophy in this game.

Apparantly the AWP trophy in GTAIV is hard but I've never tried.

I'm beginning to think that Elite Campaign Legend trophy in Wipeout HD is beyond my grasp even though I know people have got the platinum for this game.

In order to attain this trophy, you have to successfully catch every boost, avoid hitting any wall, perform flawless barrel rolls and maneuver your ship perfectly. Just a tiny miscalculation results in failure by a fraction of a second. The precision required to attain this Trophy is truly remarkable.

Hamilwho? On MLB 10 The Show....hitting 29 homers in one round in home run derby.

This. Most trophies arn't impossible as they just require a very large amount of time to get. Major turn off for a trophy hunter. Your skill based trophies are the impossible ones. Being ranked #1 among everyone can be impossible unless you yourself are the man and the saying goes someone out there is always bigger and badder.

The Escort and Extract Throphies in Socom. 15 kills without taking damage. I only have like 50% of SOCOM trophies and I have put in 160 hours.

amen lol, but thats just a time factor. I know some bosses are insane, but doable. Beating the game3 times does seem impossible for a normal person.

On Heavy Rain no matter how many times I do the last chapter I never manage to keep all my characters alive (doing that gives you a silver trophy) on the warehouse bit, either ethan shoots scott, scott kills madison, norman shoots scott, scott kills ethan. I can't do it!

Also the trophy on FIFA10 (was on 09 aswell) the 2500 lounge points and 5 badges trophy (a silver one) is also impossible when you have to do it in one game.

This. Hence why I'm trading it into Gamestop now that I've beaten the game.

I think MR. PERFECT from Mega Man 10 would be a pretty tough trophy to get. You have to beat the whole game without taking any damage. So far I've beaten the 8 main bosses, but now I have to go through all of Dr. Wily's levels before I can get it. That are hard mode are my only 2 trophies left for Mega Man 10
