I think the current PSP still has a lot of potential left to be unlocked.  With more and more extended battery packs on the market, I'd like to see sony come out with one thats the same size but double the battery life.  I know they could.  With this they could update the firmware so the 4th brightness setting would be unlocked and up the proccessor speed to the proper 333mhz, making the PSP brighter and faster.  Also what about the possibility of virtual memory using the mem stick duo?  Could this be done?  If sony could find a way this added "ram" plus the faster processor could make for some sick graphical capabilities.
Also I'd really like to see downloadable games for the mem stick duo that aren't just PS1 games and that DONT require a ps3.  I'd gladly pay $5 for many old games sony could license.
What do you all think?

a better battery would be plus, the processes speed isn't a hardware block but a software block to save battery life. using the memory stick as virtual memory is a cool idea but it would create the same issue developers have with 360 with and without hard drives,  having the ps store on the psp would be a cool feature that I hope they include in the next update ...... one can hope!

yea I think a better battery put out by sony would A increase battery life (duh) B allow for bright screen if you want and C make the PSP run faster.  And no I dont have custom firmware.  I'm happily running Sony's 3.4 so don't bring that stuff up and get my thread locked.

Yep ...those would be nice and definitely in the realm of possibility.  I wouldn't want to give up battery life for horsepower though.

huh i'm running 3.5 and dont use custom firmware ...... I can't wait to sony makes some improvement on the psp ..... the expanded battery is a good start but only 20% more battery life it they could come out with a battery that has twice the power that would be great ( standard battery is 1800mah, the expanded is 2200mah, they need a 3600mah or above battery that fits in the PSP).

yea 3600mah would be awesome.  With double the life I'm sure they could spare some to up the processor speed and brightness.  Or at least give us the option.
