i have to say the size of that thing is BIG! its really huge for a console, now i understand it has blu-ray too

but as close as 2009 comming closer and this system released in 2006 , dont you think we can have something slimmer?

how is the fan sound on the ps3? mybe they can improve on that

There is nothing wrong with the size of the PS3 and I hardly ever know the fan is even running. This is on a system that's never turned off even when not in use.

Tbh, i dont really know why you posted this....

Anyway, yeah its fairly big but its not as if i carry it around with me so....

And the fan is almost silent so that need not improving.

But i suppose it would be nice for the console to be smaller however id rather it be bigger and silent that smaller and loud....

If history repeats itself, there should be a PS3 slim one day. The system is very quiet. Also remember, there is no external power brick for the PS3.

It's not really that huge... It's a little bit larger than a 360, but it's not gigantic or anything. But yeah, I think they just might make a slim version of the PS3 sooner or later, when technology advances. I mean they did it with the PSone, PS2, and PSP.

Almost as soon I start playin MGS4 for an hour, I can start to hear the fan roaring away. Its a new PS3, so I dont know why it does that. Plus the PS3 is in an open area, right beneath the ceiling fan. with nothing obstructing the ventilation. Yet it still goes into 5th gear as soon as I start playing MGS4.
