In order for gow3 to make profit!

They said during an interview that gow3 cost 44 million dollars to make! So i did the math if they want to make a decent profit they will need to sell 8 million 60 dollar copys and that would make them 48 million dollars with a 4 million dollar profit!

We all know gow3 is going to be epic and it already has a loyal fan base but look at uncharted one the best games ever in my opinion it barley broke the 1 million mark. So what are your guys opinions do u guys think that gow3 will sell its its 8million or above??

Lol, that would make them $480,000,000. Not all of that money would even go to Sony but they don't need anywhere near 8 million sold to make a profit on the game. Plus Uncharted sold 3.5 million+....

The previous games haven't sold more than 3 million. God of War 3 might have a chance to sell more than 4 million but I still have my doubts.

You'd be surprised how many people will buy a PS3 for this game. They then buy other games and sony makes a profit that way

They were the first to put a game on a 50gb Bluray disc.

Well since in most countries Video Games are more expensive, they would need to sell little less.

For example, a 60 USD game costs 500 HRK(CroatianKuna) which is 94.68 USD.

Oh... and we don't even have a PlayStationStore :(

accordign to your theory, it's around 800k, not 8 million...i think they can make profit as long as they sell more than2 million.
