Indecisive on Uncharted or Ratchet

Ok i am a huge ratchet and clank fan as you can tell if you look at my profile. I am getting a PS3 soon and i only have enough money for one game. I want to get Ratchet but I have a feeling that it will be the same as the other ones which i am kind of bored with. I want to get Uncharted though because i want a real life type thing that isnt cartoony (which i dont mind that much)but i dont know which to get. I've been changing my mind a lot.

Ratchet and Clank is really, really good, but Uncharted is a masterpiece. I would go with Uncharted. You will not be disappointed.

This really is a tough one. Both are awesome games. But I think a Ratchet & Clank fan should get the Ratchet & Clank game. You will really appreciate the graphics and game play of this game. Plus you can play through it a second time to unlock some pretty freaking cool outfits. Or, just rent them and see which you like better.

Ok, to start off, the new R&C is pretty different from the previous ones. Especially deadlocked, which seems pretty out of place with the series. You would definitely appreciate the next generation quality of ratchet and clank as well as the gameplay as a fan. Uncharted, however, is MUCH better. I am saying this as another big R&C fan. Uncharted is no less than a super game that you will absolutely LOVE. Much better quality, despite little replay value, GREAT graphics, Blockbuster movie quality story, and intense moments will keep you riveted throughout the game of uncharted.

Also, ratchet and clank seems to remain the same kind of gameplay throughout the entire game. Uncharted, however, goes from pirates raiding your boat, to a tomb raider- esque setting, to an indiana jones/jungle, to a fear- like corridor run and gun, to a stealth/gears game format.... You won't get bored playing uncharted.. easily the best game of the year.

This is pretty easy. when you get your PS3, go on PSN and download both of the games' demos. play them and see for yourself which one you like better. I personally prefer Uncharted.MotoRacer81

Yeah what he said, I have both and I enjoy both, but whatever game you decide to get go and rent the other. The demo only gives you a taste of what is there.

I haven't picked up R & C yet but the demo was good. I'll probably get it tommorrow. Uncharted is a masterpiece and a game I will remember for a long long time. I haven't even beat it yet but I just got to the run and gun section and it has me on the edge of my seat. I'd say get both when you have the opportunity.

Both are great. That being said, Uncharted is, quite simply, a masterpiece and while I say you should get both you should go for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune first.nyc05
