So I got Infamous 1 way back during the welcome back program for free. Didn't play much of it.

Recently I have been getting back into it. Sometimes it feels like a chore but than sometimes its quite fun.

What do you guys thinks of Infamous 1? Obviously the graphics are a little dated.

Also, I plan on downloading infamous 2 after since its free for psn plus owners. Is it much of a improvement over the first one?

They are pretty good games. I played the frist one in the welcome back program too and I was pretty amazed how good it was. I just started playing 2 a couple days ago, and its not very different from 1 but it is slightly improved and has a bit more variety. I like it so far and I had no interest in ever getting these games before. #2 is better than #1 so far, but since im not very deep in the story yet, Im still trying to figure out why GS gave it a 7.5/10, cuz its just as good if not better than #1

I have both of these games (both were free) and they are fun to play around in when I want to take a break from FPS games.

'Infamous 1' is a good game, but it has its drawbacks. It's easily one of the worst looking PS3 exclusives and the side missions get a bit tedious, but otherwise it's a solid, unique and fun game. I feel that 2 is an improvement over 1. Better powers, a more ingaging environment, and better writing and voice acting. Honestly I don't think the story between the two games overall is all that great, but it does the job of moving the gameplay forward well enough, and 2 does manage to add some emotional context that wasn't there in the first one.

i would say infamous 2 is a HUGE improvement from the first. i never really liked the whole diry grimy city setting but it was bareable for me in infamous 2 cuz the gameplay was great and the graphics were vastly improved. i played infamous 1 for like 15 minutes and i couldn't stand it, it was probably the worst looking game ive played on the ps3. i honestly thought i saw ps2 games that looked better than that game, but infamous 2 was a great improvement though i played it all the way through.

Personally I feel the inFamous games are overrated. They're not bad, but I feel the slobbering over them is unnecessary.

I liked the story, environment, and karma choices better in inFamous 1. But the gameplay and graphics are better in inFamous 2.

Both games imo start off greatly, but then get incredibly repetitive. InFamous 2 has a terrible story, but the new powers are cool.

loved the first one, i liked the 2nd one as well, but not as much. Boss fights / city / story imo are better in the first.

I believe Infamous 2 actually got worse overall scores from the game critics, but I'm not really sure why.:?

In my opnion, Infamous 2 was a huge improvement over the first one. It had bigger, badder, and more bad*ss powers. The missions weren't as repetitive, and the overall buildup to the finale of the game was just epic! (BTW, I took the evil ending :P. So much more dramatic than the good ending :P)

Definitely worth playing through :D

i consider both inFAMOUS games to be Sony's best offerings this generation so I think rather highly of them. The first game had a better story, platforming segments, and bosses. The second has far superior gameplay, more interesting powers, more varied powers between karmas, and a bigger difference in the overall game when choosing good and evil paths.

1 is a good game.

Cole becomes a huge d-bag in #2. I hate all the changes they made to him.

2 is a better game, cooler powers, more interesting city, improved graphics, more varied enemies.....but it is very similar to the first game gameplay wise.

I enjoyed the first Infamous quite a bit but never really got into the second game. The new "Cole" never appealed to me and the certain charm from the original game was absent.

I have yet to finish Infamous 2, haven't found the desire but I do plan to eventually.

I love the series and is my favorite. Epic story, epic action, and epic powers. Sucker Punch knows how to make games.

I give the edge to 1st just for being the 1st.

2 made some improvements but it was incredibly similar, more like Infamous 1.5, the ending was surprisingly good though ( talking about the good ending, I know what happens in the evil ending but havent actually done an evil playthrough, someone spoiled it)
