I think with enough new characters introduced with powers it could work. uncharted 2's single player is no worse with the amazing online, and Bioshock 2 looks to do the same. I think that a co-op "sidekick" component could work, and some crackdown like blasting away at eachother with a few ranks and unlocks thrown in for longevity would definitely work. I would love some sort of Horde mode though, where you and a few hero buddie defend against a never ending wave of gang members.
I've grown weary of the online bullet point, so no I do think the game needs it, nor do I have any real desire for it. But like the above poster said, with games even like Assassins Creed turing to online play to sell copies, it wouldn't surprise me to see it in InFamous game. SepewrathAssassins Creed has online play? Last time I played them they didnt.

They announced it for Assassin's Creed III.
I will say that I would prefer they have a more focused approach, Bioshock and Half-Life had a focus on a singular goal and those are 2 of the best games ever made. If inFAMOUS can make it work like Uncharted 2 did, I'm all for it but I'd much prefer they stick to giving the campaign more depth, more to do in the open world and giving it some more polish.
With games like Killzone 2 and CoD a split focus works since the MP is just as important as SP in those types of linear shooter games, while Left 4 Dead is just a pure co-op action game with a little PvP going on. Sure Crackdown and GTA made online work almost as good, but if it doesn't tear me away from other, better online games then I think Sucker Punch should just stay focused on the story.
Maybe this, or like how sigma 2 has co-op killing enemies. I cant wait for infamous 2, its gonna come out, its only a matter of time.2 player co-op new character with powers???

I don't think something like that would work... 3rd person games like Uncharted 2 and InFamous souldn't have MP, IMO... MP is for shooters... Co-op maybe, but not MP...ks1990steelmanAlso it works in uncharted because uncharted is more of a shooter game that has cover and stuff. Infamous is one of those games that you dont need to take cover to much.

No, not for ACIII. It's a new AC game that continues Ezio's story.
Mmm, I don't have Infamous but I've played it quite a bit and I wouldn't want to see online in it for the sake of having online. They're adding online to everything these days, so I wouldn't doubt it. Actually I would almost bet on it.

Sorry. My mistake.
Noooo, I'm sick of online games. Give me a great story and 10+ hours of gameplay and I'll be happy. I'm glad games like god of war didn't go online and I hope infamous doesn't go that route.
Naw, online gaming is slowly ruining single player games in my personal opinion. Don't get me wrong I do play online and enjoy it, but when all you get is a 5-6 hr single player mode in a $60 title I feel ripped off to sum degree. For I2 I simply want bigger, badder powers, a smarter AI, and for them to get rid of the inverted right and left.
I don't think something like that would work... 3rd person games like Uncharted 2 and InFamous souldn't have MP, IMO... MP is for shooters... Co-op maybe, but not MP...ks1990steelmanU2 pretty much is a shooter....tps......and works fine I mean yeah fps online games are more popular but doesn't make them better just people only welcome what they're used to
it could, make online and do more or less like gta iv online play...just free roam and attack each other. or make some duels..but still, if it has only single player still is too much fun it isI don't think online would work in inFAMOUS 2

As long as the single-player campaign lives up to the quality of its predecessor, Sucker Punch can do whatever else they want to do with the game in terms of online. If the single-player lives up to my expectations based on the first game, I'd be happy to see them try to add some type of multiplayer, but only as long as they don't lose sight of the fact that the single-player is most important, like Naughty Dog.
