Everything about this game looks great! I will for sure pick this up upon its release. I'm just hoping that the hype train won't over do it. I have to admit that I felt let down by Killzone 2 after all the great reviews went up early about it and the game completely lacked any sense of story and in my opinion was less of a game than Resistance 2.
Prototype, which comes out early next month is supposed to be Infamous' "competition"...Also, Crackdown has been mentioned as a game that Infamous will be compared to as well
like doolz said, UFC 2009 looks like a pretty high quality game also. also there was wolverine (decent not great) and velvet assassin. o can't forget leisure suit larry ;) lol.
indeed. the game was hyped AA, but it's getting AAA scores. I've definitely been surprised by it... I still think GS is gonna give it 8.5 though. I dunno why, just have a feeling. Not that 8.5 is bad or anything though...

That's what I was thinking. There's really nothing else worth mention. However a score of 9 is very good by GI standards. Not a lot of games get a 9. Even KZ2 only got an 8.5

Yea, Gamespot arent really fanboys like many of us like to think but some moderators are.
On topic: I am glad that this game has potential and I might buy it when I have the money. I like the open world action game type. It has a few RPG elments I heard which sounds exciting. Hopefully it gets a 9/10 just like in IGN. Game deserves especially when being made by developers like Sucker Punch.

its true. They figure if they give it a 10/10 they will be like "hmm if this got such good ratings lets put it on xbox" as soon as it goes on xbox it gets an 11 or 12/10

Yeah - this is definitely nice, but a 9 and "Game of the Month" from GI along with a 9.2 from IGN and a 9/10 from OPM UK... that starts to paint a much clearer picture. It's one thing when ONE magazine is saying your game is great, but when pretty much ALL the reviewers are saying it... it's hard to deny that inFamous should do very, very well.

I'm a manager at a GameStop in Dallas. I'm totally taking this day off of work. The demo was... astounding; a title the PS3 really needed. Everything about inFAMOUS is so.. pristine. The animation seals the deal for me. In God's honest truth, you will be hard-stretched to find such superior attention to animation in any other title.
