Dear Reader, theres a slight chance that you don't got enough money to buy both games but really love to have them both. (inFAMOUS and [Prototype]) i have done some research and theres a really big chance (about 80%) that inFAMOUS is going to be platinum. but i don't know when or how long it will take. BUT if you are like me (15 yr old kid) without an income, (unless maybe some money your parents give you) you really want both games then its a good tip to buy prototype first, because i don't think that game will become platinum and all. the inFAMOUS hype is very big, so there's a big chance it will go platinum For those who never heard about any of these games, you really should see some trailers because both of these games are AWSOME And i have some Ups and Downs writed down on a piece of paper, so i will put them here also, don't flame me or say things like: you just want people to buy prototype... i'm not. it's just i have almost 60 euro's each 3 months, and new released games are 60 euro's so i will never be able to buy both in less then 3 months. also don't feel like you need to buy prototype because i said this, also i'm not sure about the platinum-rank that infamous will get, what i DO know is that there's a big chance UPS AND DOWN LIST FOR inFAMOUS and [PROTOTYPE] :: *** Infamous *** + Nice Graphics + In Depth Story (about how he got the powers) + Lightning,, thats just cool :P + Big Map, Sandbox + The good & evil choice + Climb powers & Hover Powers + Train Sliding & Car Destruction + ability to shoot cars away + Upgradable powers (but limited to lightning) - Same enemy's all the time (Reapers, or some evolved kind of reaper) - Always some rescue or save-mission, (+ on this is that sometimes there are also evil missions) - Limited Power (he can only use electricity, wich is cool but can be boring) - Climbing & Sliding (aka agility) seems without variation. - Quick Death when close to a explosion (IMO! for some people its realistic, i just find it annoying) - No Stealth - Easy AI - IMO not enough blood *** Prototype *** + Great Story (viral exposure and stuff) + Outbreaks (Heavy enemy spawning) + Shapeshifting + Consuming + Acquiring DNA & identity's to fill up the story (like a sort achievement within the game) + More Variated missions + 3 way war + ability to pickup weapons + ability to pick up cars & humans + Nice Agility (wallrunning, power slides different type of jumpings and going over things all the time) + Ability to drive a tank and fly helicopters + Big Map also a sandbox + Upgradable powers + The Choice to go stealth or not. + ALLOT OF BLOOD !!!! - allot less detail, graphic in the ingame videos look ugly, but the trailers on the other hand look quite good! - IMO story looks short - sometimes too much enemy's - limited weapons ( as far as i know, there are only 2 pickupable weapons, a rocket and a machine gun(prob. m16)) - agility is nice and all but sometimes (i found this during trailers) IMO it gets a little over-the-top and makes it less-realistic - Upgradable powers are limited to shapeshifting (as far as i know) - Heavy enemies, Blackwatch (IMO hard enemys are stupid, its annoying to get killed by some giant monster, but it's part of the game) - Tanks (in the ingame movies IMO) are weak and show little resistance, this also counts for the helicopters - Helicopters are easy to destroy i just wanted to share these points with you guys, tell me what you think. well thanks anyway for reading, and have fun playing one (OR BOTH!) of these games ^_^ Racketwacket PSN ID: Shakaraja
In inFamous you don't just fight Reaper's eventually you go to another part of the city after the first boss fight, I've had the game since release here in UK and to be quite honest I find it quite boring, I love the parkour and the gliding power I have just acquired but compared to Alex Mercer, Cole looks like a little pansy. The whole comic book style cutscenes are cool but I can't help but think they're being lazy, If I only had a choice between one or the other, personally I wouldn't pick inFamous.
It's quite upsetting but I'm quickly getting bored of inFamous it just isn't what I expected, after playing for a couple of hours today I just couldn't be bothered with it, but who knows Prototype may be a piece of **** we've all seen what appears to be a great game fail badly.
Or you could sign up for something like http://www.swapgame.com/ or get your parents to and rent them both each for a month or until complete and have plenty of money left over.
Best thing to do if your on a limited income and want to play all the latest games, get a gamepass from Blockbuster. Then, on the friday of the week the game is released, wait outside before opening. :P You'll be assured a copy. Anyways, I personally think Prototype looks like a massive flop in the making.
i bought infamous last week and i love it its really addicting and one of the best games this year so far. The only problem i have with prototype is that it could be a hit or miss game so it wont be a day one buy for mebut if it gets 8.5 or above reviews i will get it
well theres also the option of gettin both? in all honestly doesnt really matter which one u get or interested in first, either way i bet they both have their strong points, but LET ME TELL U THIS, u will not go wrong with infamous, yes he does have 1 power electricity , but so does other heros, spider man? hulk? flash? they all have one specific thing that makes them who they are, plus the upgrades and powers u find and get makes up alot, im almsot done with 2nd play through(evil) and im def going to start on 3rd. im def gettin prototype but im not or wasnt hyped about it like infamous, u mentioned this as well heliys and tanks are weak, i saw him through a human at the helicopter and it blew up before it hit the ground lol. and man if im fightin just humans , for someone whos like superman basically it will def gettin more borin faster and repititive just my 2 cent
