I'll tell you what. I couldn't agree with this review more. After my hands on with the unfinished product.(The demo) I am waiting with great anticipation for this game to release!
yeah i still don't see what they are talking about and its ign there a bit polarized with their reviews they over or under rates games a lot 9-9.5 from ign is like an 8.8.5 everywhere else. im gonna wait on the demo.
This leads to the next question.... What do you guys think it'll get rated here at GS? I'm already sold that it's a great game (and have already pre-ordered)... but a 9.0 still seems a bit high. I'm thinking 8.5ish.... Although I don't know... with the superpowers and platforming, I'm almost guaranteed to enjoy it more than GTA IV, which had a VERY inflated score here imo.

On the other hand, they gave Assassins Creed 9.0... And Infamous has got the platforming better, combat better, and upgradeable powers. And lots of them. Oh, and the karma system.
Assassins Creed's story was also nothing special, so if that game can get 9.0... Oh well, I forgot we're talking about Gamespot.

Lol, no... I highly doubt they'll score it below an 8.5... either way, I think it's already proven that it's a great game. I think the interesting question for a lot of people now will be how Prototype scores in comparison...

Hmm imo Infamous looks a lot better then Prototype... Prototype seems to be a pretty bland game compared. Im hoping gamespot will give it a simialr score to IGNs 9, but i dont know just seems unlikely..

Prototype has become more interesting in the last 2-3 weeks. I'm still not a big fan of the visuals but it does seem like they're putting a lot of work into the gameplay. I think GS may give it a 9. They game Assassin's Creed a 9 and GTA4 a 10, and look how crappy those games actually were. Then again, that's the big conundrum with gamespot , isn't it? Bad games score good, and good games score bad.... from time to time. I hope they don't cheat it out of the glory I'm sure it deserves. 9.6 from IGN is still incredible. Gamespot, don't be a b****! lol

But the other review sites are little sites I've never really heard of... But I do think this speaks to the quality and polish of the game, which is cool.
YES i think i'm going to search for this game in my local videogame stores and i might find it tomrrow or after.. u know i live in kuwait and we get games very early :D :P
see isnt it nice to to hype a game and make ur expectations so high when the game comes out ud be soo pissed and disappointed? lol well now that everyone(except for few like me who knew it be awesome game and get more than 8/8.5 outta 10) knows the score and didnt have much of a hype towards this game, lol its gettin alot of praises which is good. but then again never let a review or some site score stop u from gettin any game u think u want to get(u can always rent, and see if u like it) and thanks TC, great find, i had the demo for week and a half and im loving is and i knew this game will rock. good stuff sucker punch, good for you guys!! keep it up

This game looks CCCRRRRAAAAAAYYYYY.. ZZZZAAAYYYY !!!
It look so fluid, graphics are amazing, and takes 25 to 30 hours to finish... WOW can't wait to zap stuff ! ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP !!!

"Once the story concludes, the city remains open for exploration - and there's enough diversions to keep players going beyond the campaign's liberal running time. " YESSS YESS YEAHHHHHHHH! Phew. Now, that's over.... awesome review, but they did that annoying thing of "It's amazing, asontishing, shockingly good, best exclusive, blah whatever....' and then at the end, ' But bad framerate sometimes and sometimes boring and repetitive". I'm pleased we don't get Mirrors Edge cut scenes - they were god damn awful. These look very shiny and sharp. Coles animations have got rave reviews by themselves but disapointed by what all the reviews are saying as surprisngly bad non-player animations. Slightly disapointed. Sound sounds excellent, and from watching videos and that, I can't wait! And knowing that platforming is actually the outstanding piece of gameplay... in the videos by Sucker Punch it started to get slightly generic and boring, but all reviews and congratulating it and people with the demo are raving about it. I CANT WAIT - websites calling it a GOOD PS3 exclusive means this games gonna be awesome.

Either way... we should be able to clock a solid 40+ hrs out of this game.

After getting to the end of the game and getting all god-like in powers... we'll be able to run a muck through the city and continue having fun with our powers! That's pretty cool...
