I hate to rub salt in the very sore wounds of Sony or kick them when their down but honestly is this the best they can do is offer this crappy game? I don't know how it got decent reviews. The game looks like rotten grated turd! I'm ashamed to play this on such a powerful system. But it's not just the graphics, the gameplay is boring and has all been done before. It seems like a totally ripoff of GTA except your playing the role of some pseudo super hero instead of just a cool, normal guy. Oh well, I hope my 2nd game choice Wipeout HD was a better one.

Its called sandbox. Why is everyone making threads bout Infamous? Just cuz a sequel is coming out? Trying to be in a different group? Cool if so. Cant wait for Uncharted 2 sux when 3 hits store shelves. Love these original threads.

The gameplay is just fine. You may not like it, but that is simply your opinion. However, complaining about the graphics is rather idiotic. The PS3 isn't that powerful. It's GPU is about the equivalent of a GTX7800, which isn't that great of a card. Get to one of the highest points of the game and just look at the scale. It has a very large draw distance for a PS3 game. This is why inFAMOUS has no AA smoothing, low shadow quality, and low textures. Even with these at low, it doesn't get the best frame rate. Imagine if it looked better and still had this kind of scale. It simply would not run on the PS3.
What does pseudo mean? from what I found out it means false generic or unauthentic. How is infamous(cole) generic I never played a super hero with electric power. I think you might have used it in the wrong context. By the way Infamous like GTA WTF

GTA IV is the highest-rated game of this generation. Basically what you're saying is that inFAMOUS is a GTA copy except with super powers thrown in. By THAT logic, that makes inFAMOUs the greatest game to date.
To everyone in this thread posting replies like "inFAMOUS is like GTA, wtf??" you all know exactly what the OP means by that. To most people, a game that is open-world is automatically going to be compared to GTA. Don't even pretend you don't understand why he would make that reference.
the game is NOTHING like GTAIV... that being said, if you think YOU got screwed, I picked up Super Stardust HD... yeah... worst game I have played all year, probably because its so friggin overhyped
Having never played inFAMOUS in my life, i love this game, the acting and minor glitches are annoying but its really an awesome game, the Infamous 2 demo ruined the ending i think for me, but oh well, ill prolly pick up Infamous 2 in the near future
I think you came into playing inFAMOUS with the wrong mind set. Personally it's the best PS3 game I ever played because of the smooth and brilliant combat mechanics as well as awesome freedom of movement

Agreed, the freedom of movement is amazing in inFamous. I loved being able to jump off a train then grind along the railway tracks while aiming and shooting at the same time. No other game I've played has given me this much intuitive control over a character.
Personally I couldn't get in the game either. When it was first released and had a demo up, I couldn't get into it. And I actually rememeber back than there was heaps of bad talk about the game too on how the majority hated it. Now it's the complete opposite. Weird.

What so in GTA I can fire electricity and glide along railway tracks. Infamous and GTA is different and me personally I thought Infamous was repetitive but still I enjoyed it especially for it's twists in the story. People shouldn't complain when it's free. Sony could have offered something awful like Rag Doll Kung Fu Fists Full of Plastic but instead offered a full retail game. Anyway it's your fault as you could have downloaded the demo first and then you wouldn't have wasted your choice of your free games.
GTA, really, really, how is it anything like GTA. If it was, I would have gotten bored with the game in 2 days. I know its what you think, but I LOVE the game. Sure, it not great looking, but its a really fun great story game. I am really begin to hate when people post "this game sucks" like your word is that written in stone. It what you think, not what the world thinks
I got it with the DL package and I'm pumped. I'm glad I saved $60 on the game, cuz i just never got around to playing it. I think its really fun and has tons of stuff to do. Cleaning up the streets is sweet.

I hate sandbox games like GTA & RDR. Just not my kind of game. But I'm loving Infamous so far. There are loads of 'graphical glitches', but I think overall it looks and plays great. Thanks Sony.
I think this version of Infamous may be broken. I've done all three substations of the first island. My arrow is rated as Champion on the good side, but all the cops shoot at me on site, the general NPC's are all mean to me, and the Good missions show up on the map, but disappear when I get close to them only leaving the evil ones? Did I anger the God of InFamous?
