Hi, I'm looking into purchasing a Playstation 3 tonight but I just wanted to gain a little more insight on what the console has to offer now, and updates in the future as well as games worth looking into.. My roommate has a PS3 in the basement which I've played here and there, but I want one for my own personal use.
So please, if you could tell me about promotions or bundles Sony has planned for the future, and which unit I should aim for, and even maybe the probability of finding the bundle. (For example, I've heard the 80 GB MGS4 bundle is near-impossible to find)
Well ask you self do you care about Backwards compatiblity for the PS2?If so then you are kinda out of luck.I not then you should just get the regular ol 400 80 gig.I believe there is an 160 gig PS3 with uncharted and a few other things coming out next month. With the PS3 you can always updgrade the harddrive to a bigger one if you need to.
OKay thanks, I'll keep that in mind. 399.99 80 GB model with no Backwards Compatibility right? The B/C would be a nice feature, but it's not really a must. :)
Accessories?Maybe the PS3 eye.You get the Dual shock 3 bundled with the new PS3.Umm thats all I can really think about in that department. As for games Check this awesome thread out.It has all of the good games you should know about and check out.Good luck with you PS3 and happy gaming my man.
Cool Both very good.Games.Oblivion game of the year edition is your best bet if you want EVERYTHING.It is about 55 bucks but it comes with both expansions.
Wait...you mean to say they are making PS3's WITHOUT backwards compatibility these days? What the heck? Who's brilliant idea was that? I got the 60GB at Launch. It plays every PS2 game out. Why would they REMOVE a feature like that?
There is a number of reasons sony announced it ages ago.I will try to explain it to you as best as I possibly can.One of the main reason is the PS2 is still selling well.Another reason is sales. When the PS3 first launched it had pretty much full Backwards compatiblity. The sales were not as good as sony wanted. So they came out with the 40 gig.Only two USB slots,no card reader and only PS1 Backwards compatiblitly for only 400 bucks. This console sold alot better then some of the others before it.So now sony figures that they keep BC out of the future consoles and just focus on the future of the games on it and not the PS2 games then it will be fine.Me personally want BC on the PS3 and still believe that one day there will be an update.Too many people are going want it.But for right now I still play my PS2 and PS3 so it is all good.Sorry if it is abit on the long side lol.
