Now i dont know the whole story. But last i heard was that Sony was handing out in-shirt XMB, at GDC 08 now i doubt sony would do that just 2 piss off so many people waiting 4 it. So it must be finished and Sony is just watering it's fan base mouth. tell me what you think do you think its done and ready 2 be launched or is still many months away.
The XrossMediaBar (pronounced CrossMediaBar and officially abbreviated as XMB) is an Emmy-award winning[1] graphical user interface developed by Sony.
The interface features icons that are spread horizontally across the screen. Navigation moves the icons, instead of a cursor. These icons are used as categories to organize the options available to the user. When an icon is selected on the horizontal bar, several more appear vertically, above and below it (selectable by the up and down directions on a directional pad).
1. That's an extremely misleading title. i was expecting another one of those "A friend of my father's brother's daughter works at Sony and blah blah blah."
2. I'm pretty sure I remember someone from Sony saying they did that just to tick off users.
