reduced heat and power consumption due to the now 40nm RSX and the 40/45nm CELL BE...

So they used more cheaper fans...

Case Closed...

i don't think anyone's gonna be able to comment on the interior schematic unless they're electrical engineers..... we all know what the new model is "supposed" to feature and that's all.

Looks like the BD is different.

The sheet metal gauge for the mounting chassis is thinner on one.

Fan Housing & Cooling Block have been downgraded.

IMO the 2100 has cheaper parts all the way around.

Wonder if that will effect reliability?

We shall see.

Some of you are calling it cheap hardware but if it's producing less heat and power, then thats a good thing?

Simple, better production techniques, use cheaper and smaller cooling components, and save a load of money while still being more reliable then the 360, simple is simple

you don't have to be an electrical engineer to examine elementary parts of a 1-4 year old system...unless this means I get to uphold the title of one...:o

Many people get the notion that hardware keeps getting more affordable just because it is now upgraded. Yes they produce less heat but they receive cheaper parts too.

Though the parts are cheaper the engineering is still good and less prone to YLOD.

and there's no place for dust build up, everything is well

As long as it helps the PS3 resist YLOD. Great, At least I don't have to open up the case (not thatI ever would) Butsince you have show us the inner PS3. Find a way to reverse enginneer the PS3.
