Insomniac next game?

I think they'll be doing Ratchet and Clank this year and RFOM2 next year.

I don't know if they'll work on both games at the same time.

ok im not sure if people can read any more so im going to break down what i wrote ok, "AFTER Resistance: Fall of Man Sequel" that means after Rachet and Clank game and next years game from Insomniac RFOMS. "what is NEXT for Insomniac" that means after the first meaning the OTHER game (if they have one). "NEW CHARACTER OR CHARATERS AFTER RFOMS" i mean its right there people AFTER RFOMS what do you think is next? new charaters? new world? WHAT? i think every one and there mother knows Rachet and Clank comes out this year i dont need to hear it again.

Mario and Zelda have been around for 20 years so i am not buying your comment.

To make new IP costs a LOT of money. Sony invested 30 million dollars in creating Resistance franchise. Of course now that that IP is created it's easy to build up on it for second part, 3rd and so on. Same with Rathet & Clank. With Jak & Daxter it is best platform game around, that btw sells in multi million examples so why give up on it?

Like i said i don't expect one more new IP from them, not in this generation. But that is ok

After Ratchet and Clank Future this year and Resistance 2 next year , I would like them to make another new game for the next year.Resistance should probably end and I hope they give Ratchet a good rest and bring out another one in the 5th year.

What the hell are you talking about?! Making new IP is one of the hardest things to do and most of the time not profitable. That is why most of the studios just make new parts of old famous IPs that have huge fanbase.

Also Insomniac stated that they want to make a "franchise" out of Resistance. So that means there will be many Resistance games in the future not just one or two. Its like with Halo franchise. Halo 3 is last game but that doesnt mean Bungie is over with Halo. Master Chiefs (or whatever his name is) trilogy will end but there will be more Halo games.

Insomniac in this gen will focus only on Resistance games and Rathcet & CLank. End of story.

New IP is overrated. If the current IP is still producing good titles, why eliminate it?

As has been said, Mario, Zelda, and Metroid have produced good titles for a long, long time. If Insomniac can continue to make excellent Ratchet & Clank titles, why should they change? Heck, that title is the ONLY reason I'm holding onto my PS3.

It's insane  to even consider  that possibility. For those that wonder why than Insomniac isn't making new Spyro or NaughtyDog new Crash, well they lost wrights on those IP(don't ask me how because i dont know(check wikipedia)) and we saw how both of those games SUCKED big time since that happened.

ratchet and clank have always been a great series there is no point of them to stop making the game.

Not olny are those games great but both are one of the best selling games on PS2. Jak & Daxter games combined sold around 13 million copies, that is insane!

I love Jak & Daxter --- though, for me, #2 was the worst of the bunch.

Insomniac stated that the story in Ratchet and Clank Future was to be planned to span more than one game. They also stated that they want to turn Resistance into a franchise. Half of the dev team works on Resistance, while the other half works on the Ratchet franchise.So basically, after Ratchet and Clank Future and RFOM2, Insomniac will probably release Ratchet and Clank Future 2, then RFOM3, etc. kniveshurt18
